Awesome thanks again. I'll order one of those lights as soon as I got home and can measure the fixture and I'll find me a beardie vet to get a fecal sample.
Thanks alot, I'm begaining to feel alot better. I have actually seen them drink from the fountain on several occations. I give them baths about 2x per week and before i got the fountain they would seem very thirsty when I bathed them but not so much since. The can drink from the fountain...
Oh I was also wondering what a fecal sample usually costs. I'm on an extremely tight budget cause of the baby and my wife is in baby mode and has basically said if I have to take them to the vet then we're selling them. Please try to help me with what I have or am able to get without spending...
I have two beardies and one of them is looking really sick. I have a 2 year old male and an 18 month old female. They are in a 40 gallon tank together and they do very well together and both have always seemed very happy. The female has another 25 gallon tank that we put her in to keep her...
My 2 year old male beardie keeps running into and rubbing up against the glass and the tip of his lower jaw has a scab on it and is really sore looking. What can I do?
The temp is about 75 in the cool corner and I'm not sure what it is on the hot side on top or their tree. I'd guess about 105-110 in the hottest area they can reach. I've had him for about 2 years and I use a kind of clay/sand substrate. I guess my wife cleaned out their enclosure yesterday...
My male beardie is looking a bit grey today. He has what I think are stress marks on his belly and his color is just not bright and healthy looking. He is still really active and bobbing his head but I can't figure out why he has stress marks and poor coloring. Any ideas?
I would like to do that but I currently cannot afford it. I'll have to keep an eye on them for anything abnormal and if it becomes evident I need to take them in I will. I have my first child due in Jan. and between baby sruff and Christmas my wife has a giant pregnant woman padlock on the...
Thanks for the advice guys. I just got done cleaning out all the flies. My wife won't let me breed any insects in our house so I will just keep buying the crickets. Hopefully I can learn to keep them alive better.
I do not get regular fecal exams. So please explain why it is dangerous for them to eat flies if they are not from outside or anything and what can happen with maggots somewhere in their tank. I'll clean them out immediatly but what is the risk? They are not contaminated if the are born in...
I buy crickets 1000 at a time and keep them in a big rubbermaid bin in a dark closet. I usually cut a few potatoes in half and put some gutload in to feed them but I would say about half of the thousand die every time. Any tricks or sugestions on keeping tons of crickets alive?
So about a week ago we had a devil fly from hell that was pestering us to death and my beardies were watching it very hungrilly from their trees. I caught the fly and put it in their terrerium and now a week later, there are like 15 flies in there and they keep laying more flies. So are flies...
