    Clipping nails

Well Shenrons nails are like sharp little razors, and I know that tile helps to keep them dull (but my new cage is not done yet, and as of right now I use shelf liner as a substrate) soo I wanted to somehow clip/file his nails. Any tips/pointers from anyone who takes care of sharp nails without...

    UVB distance

So, I bought a new fixture/bulb (in anticipation for the new cage I will be building) and I am using it in my current 20gal long. It is a reptisun 10 24". Should I change the distance of the bulb from my dragon, as I have it as close to him as I did my old reptisun 12"? (I believe it is 8" at...

    Building a new crossfire enclosure

Thanks for the info! I did want to look around for other types of enclosure options, but I'm having a hard time finding too many other free building plans, anyone know of any and are willing to share?

    Building a new crossfire enclosure

I just had a question about the materials used to build the crossfire enclosure(following the instructions from: http://www.freewebs.com/crossfireenclosures/) which calls for a 4x8 Foot sheet of 3/4 Melamine. I was wondering if it is possible to substitute this with plywood or some other type of...

No UVB for a few days?

Well, my reptisun 10 burnt out on me today, and none of my local pet stores have any in stock(and if they did they want 50$+) They did however have the reptiglo 10 in stock, which if I remember right isn't such a good light to get. So I'm planing on ordering one from petmountain.com and it won't...

    Dragon Weight Question

Do you know how much he weighs? I browsed around abit and it seems that the avg. adult weight is 10-18ounces. Hopefully that helps? Shenron was sick awhile ago, and not eating. He is about 9-10inches and only weighed in at 1 ounce. (I'm sure his weight is back up as he is getting healthy again...

    beardie isn't shedding...

Hm, well you could always try switching it up with the feeding. He may just be tired of the worms, so maybe try switching back to crix. I feed Shenron Phoenix worms, and he won't eat them if they aren't writhing around like crazy (a good way to encourage this is to put your basking light over...

    Newbie.

That aside he/she is a cute little guy/girl. You just have to becareful with some of the set ups that petstores can provide (I bought a "bearded dragon all you need" kit, and got burned. Had to buy all new lighting, substrate..etc. Pretty much paid 180bucks for a 20gal long tank when it was all...

Do you have a bright white light? Those colored bulbs can cause problems (i had a blue light when I fist got my dragon, and it was causing him to squint his eyes.) They really only need a bright white light and a uvb bulb(reptisun10.0 is a good idea)...

Just curious, is that red light from some outside source, or are you using that for his basking/heat source?

    Vet trip/ulcer on tounge

Well he had almost a full body shed before the whole ordeal began, but he has started to darken back up again. Thanks for the link as well. As far as the other light source, I use a ge edison 35w bright white mini flood bulb to get the desired temps..etc. Thanks for the well wishes, he's now...

    Vet trip/ulcer on tounge

Well, Shenron decided to eat today! He only ate 11 worms, well and counting hes chomping down more now. But thats more than he'd gulp down in the past 4 days. I'm not sure if it was the meds the vet gave (which i only got him to take once, and decided after reading some feed back to never mind...
