Hi, I know this post is a few months old now, but the little lump on his limp seemed to fall off with his shred. This morning I noticed Scales has another bigger lump in exactly the same place. Any ideas

Why is scales digging at the slate?

That’s good to hear. Well Scales was active for a bit, but now he his in his slate house which is in the cooler side of the Viv, and he’s been sleeping solid for last two day 🤔🤔🤔

he was active for about an hour and then he went back under his log. Going to the toilet must have taken it out of him 😂

as scales hadn’t gone to toilet for a few weeks, he was starting to worry us, so when he’s been awake and active, we been bathing him. After a few baths, slightly warmer than usual, he finically went to toilet.

I know, I even placed him onto his basking log, but he moved off after the ten minutes

No he didn’t bask for long, maybe ten minutes

No, he’s still in and out of sleep. Seems to be slightly more active in the morning, and moves around a bit, and then gets comfy in afternoons and starts sleeping early evening

Well Scales was awake and active for most of the day yesterday, so I tried him with some locusts. Fed him one at a time, as I didn’t know how many he would eat, he ate a box of ten large locusts. Just hoping he will now start going to toilet, he hasn’t pooped for a few wks, as he wasn’t eating much

well I just woke up and Scales is still in the same position, sometimes eye open, sometimes closed. Surely his back legs must be hurting 🤨

He’s actually sleeping now in the same position. Yes we have a few things that he uses as a hide. I have been dropping water on his nose, he usually kicks his nose about 4 or 5 times, and that’s it. I add a few more drops but he isn’t bother to lick them

That’s awesome that Ragnar is back awake. Scales is still worrying me, we’ve left him be and offered him water every other day, and he been staying under log. Just gone home from work and he’s in corner like this

Ok, I’ll make sure I do it daily when he opens his eyes, yes his saliva was stringy, that’s what concerned me
