    Bearded Dragon Eggs

My female beardie just laid a clutch of eggs (two, so far, have been laid) and I’m going to put them in the incubator. However, the last clutch I raised was over two years prior, and I feel I’ve forgotten some of the care for the eggs. What I am going with right now is as such: the temperature...

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

Jaxie laid her eggs today... but she didn't lay them in her lay box, choosing instead to lay them on her basking spot, and they dried out, poor baby eggs, before I could get to them.

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

Yes, I'm planning on placing plants in their cages and eventually even making them bioactive cages. Oh, I definitely know about their plastic-eating tendencies. My savannah monitor Pallie actually ingested a piece of hard, penny-sized plastic this last summer, and tries to eat her cage decor...

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

Oh, it was a fake plant, and I removed it and put it into another tank just in case she decided that plastic was tasty.

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

She's eating a lot. The other day, I put a new plant in her enclosure and she tried to eat that! No, she's eating like a pregnant woman. I can definitely feel the eggs in her, and she spent an hour digging around yesterday in her dig box.

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

Jaxie is doing well. She's been digging around her lay box with increased attention, and the eggs in her stomach feel bigger, so I think she's due pretty soon, ie. in a week or so.

    Tail Kink or Tail Rot?

It doesn't look to me like tail rot at this point in time. If your cute little beards had tail rot, trust me, you would know. It's pretty noticeable. You can try giving him baths to loosen the shed, or if that doesn't work, try Shed Ease from Zoomed. It really works.

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

Okay, thanks for the info! Will the eggs still in the beardies' womb be infertile, then, if the previous ones were? I've been giving her extra food, yes, and calcium to keep her calcium intake at a healthy level.

    New beardie owner

Welcome to beardieism! Your care seems nice, the diet is varied, and the tank sounds great. Don't be worried about him not drinking any of the water in his bowl. Beardies usually don't like standing water that much. Two of my beardies are 3 1/2 years old and I've never seen them ever set even...

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

Jaxie is 3 1/2 years old. She isn't showing any signs of distress, and her belly isn't black, so she isn't stressed. She's not lethargic or restless. And she definitely is eating. Lots. She ate so many crickets yesterday. When will she lay the other eggs? Are the eggs she has already laid...

    Beardie Weird Egg Laying

My bearded dragon Jaxie is laying eggs, unsure if they are fertile or not (I'll explain in a second). A couple of days ago she laid maybe 5 eggs but I got to them too late and they dried out. I could still feel eggs in her stomach. The only thing is, it's too early for her, I can't see the bumps...

Baby has dead tail tip- breeder told me to clip off?

Hi! I wouldn't risk doing it yourself. The same thing happened with my beardie Lizzie, a year ago. The tip of his tail had tail rot and so I went to the vet, they anesthetized him, amputated the bit of tail, gave me painkillers to give him, and he's perfect now. The end of his tail healed...

    Regular Supers Were A Mistake

That's great!!! I usually just feed my beards until they get less excited and I feel they've had enough. I hate lip shed, my beardies are always really irritated by it; that and eye shed. Yes, go slow on the supers so that Ardie won't relapse back into superworm strike. Yay! I'm so happy...

    Pregnant Mama Beardie

Okay, I'll get some more variety for her. And I'll try to fill her out.
