Jaxie laid her eggs today... but she didn't lay them in her lay box, choosing instead to lay them on her basking spot, and they dried out, poor baby eggs, before I could get to them.

Oh, it was a fake plant, and I removed it and put it into another tank just in case she decided that plastic was tasty.

She's eating a lot. The other day, I put a new plant in her enclosure and she tried to eat that! No, she's eating like a pregnant woman. I can definitely feel the eggs in her, and she spent an hour digging around yesterday in her dig box.

Jaxie is doing well. She's been digging around her lay box with increased attention, and the eggs in her stomach feel bigger, so I think she's due pretty soon, ie. in a week or so.

It doesn't look to me like tail rot at this point in time. If your cute little beards had tail rot, trust me, you would know. It's pretty noticeable. You can try giving him baths to loosen the shed, or if that doesn't work, try Shed Ease from Zoomed. It really works.

Hi! I wouldn't risk doing it yourself. The same thing happened with my beardie Lizzie, a year ago. The tip of his tail had tail rot and so I went to the vet, they anesthetized him, amputated the bit of tail, gave me painkillers to give him, and he's perfect now. The end of his tail healed...

That's great!!! I usually just feed my beards until they get less excited and I feel they've had enough. I hate lip shed, my beardies are always really irritated by it; that and eye shed. Yes, go slow on the supers so that Ardie won't relapse back into superworm strike. :lol: Yay! I'm so happy...
