    Beardie going crazy?

Here is a pic of my lil amateur escape artist 🤣 She does this most of the day. She knows something is out there.

    Beardie going crazy?

What I did was put a brick on each side and rest the hide on top and then put sand in and around it so that’s as far as it will go down and won’t go down on her. She’s still raring to get out of the vivarium and when out trying to get out of the room, ha. I do see her also trying to get up to...

    Beardie going crazy?

I moved the green hide over to the dig bin because it is lower. Am a lil concerned that it is open on one side as opposed to closed so not a dark place for her to go dig , so may go find a shorter hide to put on that side that is closed . I really feel like she just wants out though. She is a...

    Beardie going crazy?

I set this up on the cool side of her vivarium and she has yet to go into it on her own and hasn’t dug at all. She still scrambles looking for ways out. I wonder if she may have come out of brumation too early because here in Texas we just hot cold again and are gonna warm up for a bit now too, ha

    Beardie going crazy?

Thank you both for your help. I'm gonna set that up, but she really looks more to be exploring and wanting to find new places outside of the walls she's confined to. I say this because when i do let her out into a new area (and give her a hide), she explores it for a while then comes back to...

    Beardie going crazy?

Thank you, any suggestion on length and width of the dig box? Also, she doesn't seem to be so much digging as trying to escape elsewhere (out of her enclosure, then out of the room), because i did open the bedroom door and she went out to the new area, explored for a while then found a place to...

    Beardie going crazy?

Hi All, My beardie came out of brumation about 3 weeks ago. She no longer seems to want to be in her terraraium (48"W x 18"D x 24"H). I mean she'll sit in there for a lil bit basking and then all of a sudden start glass surfing and trying to get out. At first, i'd grab her and she was happy...

I am using the thrive digital 2-in-1 hygrometer&thermometer and placed the probe on top of the hammock where I’d expect him to bask. The temp has settled around 107 after about 45 mins. My uvb should be delivered tomorrow and is a long tube from reptisun. I’ll get UVB installed tomorrow and...

New Owner: Are my basking lamps too hot?

I removed one and the temp on the hammock has dropped and settled at 107.2 for now. Do you think that is safe or should I look at picking up a 50W or 2x35W? I’m worried that once the UVB bulb arrives it will raise the temp a lil more. Thoughts?

Using a thrive 2-in-1 thermometer and hygrometer it’s showing 120 & climbing. Should I get 50w bulbs? Am gonna move the rock cave away, what temp should I target?

We just got this enclosure for our Beardie Ace My lil guy won't bask on the hammock or rock formation under the Carolina Cages UVB + 2 x 75W lamps I have in his enclosure (48Lx18Dx24H). Instead he seems to prefer under the hammock, or off to the side of the rock formation like in the photo...
