    Power outage... Freezing temps!!!

Very sorry for the unfortunate circumstances! We have had outages due to the weather during the winter at night, and when this happened, we had transferred Sam into a separate carrier, such as a cat carrier, and laid down a blanket for him. We slide foot warmers on the bottom level of the...

Lethargic, Black beard, not eating (??)

A great place to upload photos to use in forums is Photobucket. http://photobucket.com/ Making an account is very easy, and after you do, you can upload your images to there. From there, you can either directly copy and paste the link of the image you wish for us to see in your post, or you can...

First time shipping beardie. In serious need of help!

I'm very happy to know that Milo made it safe and sound! :blob8: Hopefully though you do leave them a piece or your mind. It's scary enough as it is shipping them, let alone knowing that they didn't follow through with their instructions for a signed pick up. Either way, I'm happy that the...

    Seizure-like fits/neurological issue

The more you talk about his issues, the more I'd swear we shared the same beardie! Again, I'm so sorry that your little one is going through these things. It's tough to even have to watch, let alone record these moments. If this helps, I actually have a large thread on what we had found out was...

Lethargic, Black beard, not eating (??)

Hi there. I'm sorry for the beardie worries! Do you happen to have any images of your little one? It helps tremendously when figuring out what might be going on. Also, a quick background would be very helpful too - its tank size, what bulbs you're using, his diet, or anything else he/she has...

    Seizure-like fits/neurological issue

Hey there, I'm so sorry that you're experiencing this! It's incredibly scary! I have a four year old, six months bearded dragon that is literally doing the 'exact' same things as yours is. We have a vet appointment scheduled on the 22nd, Tuesday. Have you been able to diagnose anything yet?

    Impaction problems! Please help!

Hi there Parishak. I'm a little late to this thread but I feel like I'm currently going through the same issues that you're having with my little man. Sam has been trying to have a bowel movement for the last 2 weeks or so. He hasn't passed a good, solid poo for about 2 weeks now, all around...

Unusual Behavior During a Possible Brumation..? (UPDATED)

So, here's an update on the little man. Upon noticing his behaviors now, I'm more than confident that that he is wanted to brumate. I found him dug underneath his tank carpet two nights ago! I'm unsure how he even managed that. As for his condition, we're tackling his constipation with a...

Unusual Behavior During a Possible Brumation..? (UPDATED)

Hi there! Indeed, it is very unusual behavior, but we've been seeing his condition get better as the time goes by. As for his 'bedding', we have scraps of old hand towels that we cut up for him to lay in and sleep on. He seems to enjoy it, but often crawls away and around to different spots...

Unusual Behavior During a Possible Brumation..? (UPDATED)

Alright, so Sam's visit to the vet was quite quick! I'm happy to report as well that we may have figured out the main problem. Here is a chart from Sammy's bloodwork: (right-click, view image, for higher resolution) He happened to have a very low phosphorus level, which was caused by the lack...

    Bearded dragon's acting unusual

You must have a spunky little male then. :D We always love pictures, so feel free to share them if you'd like! And glad I could help.

Unusual Behavior During a Possible Brumation..? (UPDATED)

So Sam has surprised us, yet again! He had another, albeit quite small, bowel movement just now. We had put him to bed about 2 hours ago, and we found him awake, taking care of business. This is sort of a good thing though! I scooped it up and double-bagged it to take with us to his vet...

    Bearded dragon's acting unusual

Totally normal. :) What you're witnessing is your little black beardie establishing dominance. Their beards will generally turn jet black, and they may scurry around a bit, bobbing their heads. Males will often do this as a sign of courtship too, while a female beardie will do a 'waving' motion...
