Getting even better. As of last Friday, he had gained almost 20 grams in two weeks, and his wound as of an hour ago is looking better than it did Friday. :-)

His appetite was down, but it's getting better. I'm giving him 5-6 super worms every other day, now that he is eating better. I'll have him fattened up in no time. :-)

Not sure. Think maybe a rock I had that he uses to hide under. Took it out, just to be safe.

So got vhegar looked at and the Dr said that he likely scratched himself on something and it got infected. Had me use 4 parts water to one part peroxide, followed by betadine solution, followed by raw honey, all twice daily, and it worked like a charm. A week out and he's already healing nicely.

He has a heat rock and a florescent uva/uvb light. I normally keep him in a 55 gallon aquarium with a mesh top, so I doubt it's a burn, especially since I keep a hide for him in the "cool" part of the enclosure especially to prevent that sort of thing. I have been keeping raw honey on it, so...

I got him setup monday morning at animal care center here in town. They have a Dr with experience with reptiles. I'll let you know how it goes. Also, I didn't see any signs of yellow fungus infection. Still could be though.

No, idea how it happened. It just appeared one day. He is otherwise healthy. I do need recommendations on a good reptile vet. I live in Springfield, Mo, so there's lots of vets, just don't know which one to take him to. I actually got the honey idea from another post on here. I keep a little...
