Holly my two year old beardie had been eating less, just her roaches, and spending most of her time on the cool side of the cage. Over the last day or so she has been hiding under her log. We had a warm spell and then a cold snap here in NY. Could she be bruminating late?

Are vitamin greens a good choice for a beardie? I bought some at my farmer's market along with some bok choi and Asian greens and Holly seems to love the blend but I couldn't find any information about vitamin greens on beautiful dragons' feed list.

Holly has a ceramic branch where she spends most of her time. She poops on it regularly and despite cleaning up the poo immediately after it happens, the branch is a little dirty. My question is how to clean it? I thought soaking it in a weak bleach solution and then rinsing well and blasting it...

My landlord is freaking out a bit about me breeding roaches. He is worried they will get out and breed and overtake the building. I assured him they are hot weather roaches and can't live in our upstate NY climate but I think he needs more convincing. Anyone have any advice?

Hi Drachea, Yes she has been getting dubias since I adopted her in December. (2 days before Christmas, hence the festive name. :) She gets 4 dubias per day so 28 per week. She also gets 4 phoenix worms per day when she will eat them. She eats her salad but I have to hand feed it to her.

What is a safe way to clean the glass inside the tank? When I adopted Holly she came on sand (I know, I know not the best substrate) and it makes the inside of the glass dusty. Can I use vinegar and water or will the vinegar smell bother her?

Is it safe to trim a beardies' nails? Holly tries to run on my carpet and she you can hear her nails sticking to the carpet. Can I trim them with the same clippers I use on my small dog and cats?

Just to clarify I wasn't thinking of feeding any of these to my dragon. I was just surprised to see the videos since the food items seem so unsafe. There is also a video of dragons eating a scorpion that was posted by a breeder. Horribly unsafe!

I saw a video on YouTube of beardies eating anoles and pinkie mice. Are these safe feeders? I also saw a video of a beardie eating a wolf spider. Seems risky. Thoughts?

My 1.5 - 2 year old beardie Holly is shedding. It seems like she has been shedding bits and pieces since I adopted her on 12/23/15. Is it normal to take this long? She is eating fine, pooping fine and basking like a champ. She gets a bath once a week.

She prefers dubias or crickets to salads. I'm worried if she fills up on bugs she won't eat her salad.
