    Happy Birthday!

My beardie turned one recently. I bought her on my birthday, but she was two months old then. She was sold to me as a normal beardie, but as she grew up she turned red and orange, with a brown head and tail, like a tiny frankenstein! XD She's my baby, which is why I named her Baby. My mom is...

Got my daughter a bd and having trouble

Don't ever feed them mealworms! Even older ones have trouble digesting them. Mine will only eat moving things, with the exception of greens, so use crickets. Crickets are pretty much their staple food. When they get bigger (adulthood to be safe) you can throw in roaches or supers, but use the...

    Sexing dragons with flashlight?

Using the bumps is a good way to sex geckos, but not beardies. I thought I had a male, then I used the flashlight and the results showed female, which the vet also confirmed.

Baby dragon closing one eye and then switching.

My beardie still does that sometimes. I have a reptisun 5.0 btw. It's just something they do. As long as ther eisn't clouding or discharge, you're good.

Help, my beardy fell, unsure what to do

Honey that's just a sprain. It didn't look too swollen and it looks like she still has full mobility, she just doesn't want to move it because it's sore. For sprains in mammals you're supposed to ice it, but you can't exactly do that with reptiles. Don't use heat, because that will increase...

    My new dragon

Older beardies defecate less. When mine was 2-3 months old she'd go everyday, but now it's about every four days, and she's eating the exact same thing she was back then. She just turned 1. Also, burmation doesn't always happen at a specific time. In nature it does, but in captivity it depends...

    Nail Trimming gone wrong! 0.0

Thank you so much! I worry about her, she's my pride and joy ;-; I ran out of neosporing so just cleaned it a few minutes ago and put Bacitracin on it. I cleaned it with just warm water, so soap, and it didnt bleed at all.

Female bearded dragon will not eat (urgent)

First of all, house them speparately. Animals will sometimes not eat because the dominant one is present. Also, lay off the mealworms. Mealworms are high in chitin and hard for their little tummies to digest, regardless of their age. Crickets are the best, and a few superworms once a week...

    Black beard and black tail?

A black beard is pretty normal. But his tail, was it black when you got him?

    Lost beardie in AZ!!

I'm so sorry to hear that. It's awful to lose a beloved pet. But, I agree with the others, he's in AZ, so he'll probably be fine. Beardies are on their own from the time they're born in nature, so he should be fine.

    Found bearded dragon outside

I wouldn't put honey on that. Try neosporin. I use it for my dog (its safe if they lick it) and my vet said it was ok for beardie's too. Plus, its not as messy and has better healing power.

    Nail Trimming gone wrong! 0.0

I was trimming my year old's nails today, and I accidentally nicked the quik. It stopped bleeding almost as soon as it happened, I sanitized her tank with cleaner designed for terrariums, gave her new substrate (half her tank is towels, the other half is unprinted newspaper), and applied...
