    A beardie that never beards?

My precious child-lizard is very nearly all grown up and will be turning one year old at the end of April. Yet I have never, ever seen him black beard at anything. Ever. He has a very orange beard and I've seen him puff it a little and stretch it sometimes, but never darken it up. Any idea why...

A Dragon In The Snake Den

Long time, no post..haven't had much to report because Iroh was still out of it, but he's waking back up and eating well again, thankfully. It's been a long winter! I did a complete spring clean/deep cage cleaning and disinfecting yesterday and changed his tile out. Now that the weather's...

A Dragon In The Snake Den

(A much belated thanks!) Well, my sweet pookie-bear is in brumation or as close to it as he can get without it being full brumation. He's been out of it for about six weeks or so. Some days he'll wake up and move to bask under his heat lamp, others he'll just spend all day in his hammock...

Tales of Thresh and Fizz *Update*

That is bonkers! Heating problems in -10 degree weather? I can't even imagine. I hope your heating gets fixed and your landperson is not so mean. :angry5:

Is Bernard going to get sick?

The ASPCA says Boston ferns are non-toxic to cats and dogs, but of course does not mention lizards. Given that Boston ferns are not known to be poisonous, I would think he is probably safe unless there was some kind of Miracle Gro or something on the leaves. Keep an eye on him, give him lots of...

    BEARDIE CHRISTMAS

These are all so cute! I admit I'm too lazy to put anything on the inside of his cage because I don't like having to clean it lots of little things, but I'll have to put something on the outside now. Maybe just some red bows. I did get a Christmas pic of him though!

Take your dragon to work day

Like the title says! My beardie is at work with me today, basking under his light on his basking rock from home, inside a big, deep rubbermaid tub. He is dressed up in his harness and collar and he's going to greet people as a reptile ambassador. He's right next to my desk so I can keep an eye...

A Dragon In The Snake Den

Just a quick update to say he's had his first dose of panacur and the second is on Saturday. He's eating sporadically but he seems to eat well when he does. I'm giving him plenty of water, electrolytes and Bene-Bac. And I don't think I showed the photos of his new swag here.

Is petsmart acceptable Place to buy a Bearded Dragon from

I always give props to http://www.beardeddragons.co/shop/ ...they have very good prices on dragons that are very healthy and friendly! They have some dragons for as low as $45 on sale right now, and shipping is not that expensive depending on where you live, I think I paid about $45-50. They...

What on earth is going on?

Just wanted to report back - Iroh has some roundworms so I'll be doing a round of panacur. Otherwise he is good. He's eating about every other day now, small amounts of bugs, but at least he's eating something!

What on earth is going on?

First the good news - he ate tonight! About 20 crickets. So it took three poops in a row with no food intake to get that big batch of crickets out of his belly. I will not be letting him eat that many at one time again. I have a suspicion now that I brought this on myself (and him) by letting...

What on earth is going on?

Kristine - I just heard back from the breeder and she thinks it's exactly what you describe and also offered the same advice, so you are spot on. Thank you! Tracie - I was surprised too when he ate that many, but having always fed dubia I guess I didn't really know what was a normal amount for...
