ahh that makes sense. i didnt read any other posts just the OP in this thread. still should probably separated them though. good to hear they are in a good home though.

is he a hypo? gorgeous bright colors on him. and a 40 gal is fine. i have my new month old beardy in a 40 gallon and she seems to love it. already have a 4x2x2 being planned out for her.

there was once a case of someone who fell asleep on their beardy and it went into some shut-off survival mode where it seemed dead, didnt breathe or anything for a day or two or something like that then woke up. hopefully that was the case unless it was for sure dead in which case im sorry...

yeah, if you go to look at it, rankins have no beard they can puff up, its completely flat. google pics of rankins dragons so you can see. but like the person above said, it probably just never had proper care.

just yesterday my beardie blackbearded at me for the second time ever since i got him and both times it was because i woke him up too fast/suddenly and i guess it startled him. neither times was he trying to bite, nor did he even open his mouth. this time he just bearded and gave me the "WTF"...

nice beardies but you really need to keep them separated for good. none of your pics show them not stressed out, the reason the one is smaller is because the other one is dominating it and eating all its food, and who knows what could happen in the future. search this site for threads about...

maybe go to the petco and see if they will let you feed them to the red-ear sliders or anything else thats big enough to eat them there.

thanks :mrgreen: , forgot to mention thad was only $50 as well. he's my big boy, 16 inches and just over 200g's and still has a good amount to grow. definitely dominates the house. also super excited to see bella's color's as she gets older
