    Can Juvie eat Phoenix Worms?

Phoenix Worms have no significant difference in the size between medium and large. My sales are 60% large, 40% medium. The biggest benefit of the Phoenix Worm is it has 8,555 Parts Per Million (PPM), compared to 345PPM in a cricket. Most reptiles that stop eating a particular feeder can be led...

    Possible food

If you want to add them to the diet, here is what to do: 1) Put them in a container; glass or plastic 2) For substrata, use rotting leaves, fruit/vegetables. 3) Have bark for them to hide under. 4) You MUST keep it humid-they breath through gills. misting, sponges filled with water, etc. 5) Once...

Beardie was bit by a hornworm

I have been bitten by Horn Worms and Super Worms, and other than scaring me, they did not draw blood. I am sure that if the worm is bitten head first, your Beardie will not be injured. If he is bitten by a Horn or Super, the chances of real injury are minimal. :D Nick Barta

    Lobster Roaches??????

I would agree that Dubias are prefered, as the Lobsters are fast, and do climb glass and plastic. That being said, a Lobster being faster is a good thing when it comes to getting a dragons attention. To figure out how many to start with, track how many of what length you feed per week. Let's...

    cricket farm

Crickets can be raised, but there are several considerations. Smell, escapees all over the house, chirping, and die off in the pinhead to 3 week period. Many start down this path and realize that at 2-3 cents a cricket when you buy 1,000 from a real cricket farm, it isn't worth the time to farm...

    Breeding hornworms

You don't need to handle the pupae, they will hatch where they pupate. They will turn into moths on their own, I put the pupae in a paper grocery bag so once they hatch, the males and females will mate. I haven't fed them, although I believe you can feed them for longer life. These are not...

    Breeding hornworms

You could, but they will lay eggs where ever they are. The caterpillars should not eat tomato leaves, the tomato plant can be toxic to reptiles. Nick

    Heating Dubias

I built a wooden box with a hinged top, and put the styrofoam insulation for the insides. I heat the 4 foot long by 2foot high by 2 foot deep box with a 150 watt ceramic heat bulb in a dome fixture. I have the Zoomed thermostat that regulates the heat, so the fire danger is zero, and the heat is...

Cricket Farms get massive die offs, and it tends to go in waves through the industry, by area. It takes about 3 weeks or so to get back in business.

    Breeding hornworms

Rebecca, The food in the cup provides the humidity, and I would guess it is at 60% or so. Without the cup system, it seems difficult to get complete molts, part of this may be they hang from the lid to molt, and this may also be why cupped HW's do better than non cupped.
