you probaly spooked her we have 3 males and a female and they have had that same reaction before .

I bought a baby bearded dragon one month ago who was born with birth defects which causes one front leg to turn in on him and on the other the hand is flipped .the problem is on the arm where it actually turns in on himself the bone is also shorter with the hand not having much movement apart...

Not really sure why they do that either ,mine does it once in a while and a lot of the time it just looks like their yawning.

its normal the weird puffing the beard out behaviour is probably just yawning and the other is called gaping it helps to regulate their body temperature. hope this helps
