the vet gave him a clean bill of health today! She said that the part at the tip will more than likely fall off in the next shed or two, and the other kink is nothing to be concerned about as long as he gets his calcium and UVB

I live in Florida, so I've been taking him out nearly every day for an hour or opening my window (there is a screen behind it) and letting him sit atop some pillows against it to get some sun as well. I'm just worried all those months without a UVB lamp hurt his health.
