    Ate half a millipede!! :(

Thank you for your input, both of you! To update in case anyone else has this happen, Roma is just fine and has been his usual self all day. It seems that the yellow-banded millipede is either harmless or the charcoal I administered within 15mins helped with any potential toxins. I’m so...

    Ate half a millipede!! :(

Thanks for the reply. I couldn’t find much information about any sort of millipede and certainly not specific types. Some places said they’re poisonous and some said it shouldn’t be deadly and depends on the type... I’ve even looked for info on their impact on dogs and cats since that’s more...

    Ate half a millipede!! :(

Roma managed to grab half of what I believe is a yellow-banded millipede (they’re EVERYWHERE in FL) and I’m freaking out!! I’ve found all kinds of mixed information about millipedes. I gave him some activated charcoal and he does not have a black beard or anything. It has been over half an hour...

    Clyde my baby dragon

I didn't look at how old this post was until I submitted, I was just answering in the "unanswered posts" section! I hope Clyde is doing well anyway haha!

What you’ve done so far sounds good! Red light is indeed not good for them and the UVB coil and compact bulbs are not adequate. Did you replace the bulb with a reptisun 10.0 or Arcadia 12%? Pellets are okay but not really necessary. Do you offer him salad daily? It’s important to encourage it...

    Sleep time yet again.

Do you track his weight? You want to be very sure that it’s brumation and not illness. If it’s brumation, his weight should not drop or only go down a small amount. If there is any significant weight loss, see a vet. Other than that, I would keep the lights on.

    Parasites Round 3- Please Advise

It’s likely to be the coccidia that’s still sticking around. They can cause big issues like blood. If it’s coccidia, try to get the medication Ponazuril if they have it. Some might still use Albon but it’s very harsh, Ponazuril will be MUCH better. Coccidia can be hard to get rid of because it’s...

    Baby suddenly not eating

What UVB do you have? You need reptisun 10.0 fluorescent tube or Arcadia 12%. How far is the UVB from the basking spot? What are you temperatures? Is the basking spot around 105-110F? Is he hydrated? Move water in a dish with your finger to show him and/or drip water on his nose with a dropper...

    Bearded Dragon Respritory Problem?

Examine his nostrils, does he have any sign of the skin right around them becoming ready to shed? You can easily see a little circle around the nostril when shedding is coming. When mine is getting close or currently shedding, sometimes his beard comes out slightly with his breathing because the...

    Impending prolapse?

Well since he’s a juvenile he eats a lot so his poops are always huge! It seems abnormal to me for it to happen every time. I’m afraid it’ll turn into a prolapse. He’ll see the vet tomorrow but someone on reddit said they think it’s a hemipene and it’s not unusual for it to come out a little but...

    Impending prolapse?

My beardie, Roma, is about 5.5 months old. He acts normal, is very energetic, eats a lot, poops regularly, etc. His poops seem okay and everything looks digested. His basking temp is around 110F and cool side is 80F. His UVB is a reptisun 10.0 T5 HO that’s about 4 months old plus we live in...

    Gastric Neuroendocrine Carcinoma :(

Thank you. I’m having a hard time determining when to say good bye. I actually read a few posts/comments of yours along my way. I’ve been researching and reading others’ stories about this cancer for the past few days and found your comments helpful. I would also like to raise awareness about...

    Gastric Neuroendocrine Carcinoma :(

Thank you, I have read the related post and others on this site. I found more through google that don’t show up with the same key word. It’s so sickening that this is becoming more common and affects beardies that are so young. My heart is aching that my poor Fuji has to have this happen to him.

    Gastric Neuroendocrine Carcinoma :(

My sweet baby, Fuji, has been diagnosed with a gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma. He’s only a year and a half old and my heart is breaking. I’ve been a member of this site since I got him but never posted until now. Reading other posts here about this condition really helped me so I wanted to...
