Beardie name(s)
Perky Monster
Beardie's Gender
Female
Beardie's Length
20 inches she is always 19 in which is confusing cuz girls get between 16-19 in but she grew to 20in and yes I am 100% sure she is a girl.
Adoption/Purchase Date
Nov 19, 2021
Diet
Collar greens everyday and enough to cover half her bowl daily, then meal worms always between 10-20 daily(doesn't always finish them), then kale every other day with her collar greens so less than half a bowl. Another I would do every other day would be I would also put a pinch of red bell pepper or carrots so she doesn't get bored of her food, but I stopped both due to her meds, and I didn't want red food to make me think she had blood in her stool for better safe than sorry purposes. Which also my vet told me to do as well. I was doing crickets every other day or 2 days but they die so quickly and I thought that is what hurt her in the first place so for about 2 months or more I haven't done any crickets for health reason purposes. Then once or twice a month she would get a treat like no bigger than a blueberries size of banana or green grapes or one horn worm that is no bigger than a giant meal worm so she can digest it properly. I also tried mustard greens and she hated it so I don't give that to her as well. That is everything I give her to eat.
Enclosure Dimensions
48W 22D 18H
Enclosure Temperatures
On the basking side it is always between 89-103 and the cold side is always between 78-88 F
Thermometer Type
IR temp gun
UVB Source
I use exo terra light bulb that I put in the combo pack that you find at pet stores, which is 13W making it 5.0 compact
UVB Placement
It is placed on the screen 8 inches above her basking spot and though out the rest of the tank.
Basking Light
Zoo med light bulb and it is 100W or I use one heat emitter which is also 100W but the brand is Aqua Culture for this one doesn't emit light only heat. Only brands I use and it is a bulb.
Basking Schedule
12 plus for I like to know her temp don't drop crazy cuz Cali weather is unpredictable.
Substrate
I use the Zoo med Eco Carpet as my substrate for its easy to keep clean and I don't have to fear her eating soil for one. Tiles get to hot and cold to quick so I always stuck with the carpet for it seemed to be the safes opposition to do all around.
