Does the type of tile matter? I can't raise the light. I just got the temps perfect in the viv. I can't make the viv cooler just to accommodate the tile.

I am upgrading our terrarium now and replacing the paper towels with tile. The new viv is 36"L x 17"W x 18"H. The temp under basking light is between 100-103. However, the tile flooring we put down is scorching hot. The basking light is just about screen level, so 18" from tile. Anyone else...
