My beardie has shed on one scale, and she hasn't shed for a few months, is this normal? Nothing seems wrong with the scale, it looks the same as when she normally sheds

A hornworm turned into a moth a day ago, but I don't know how to care for it. I don't have any flowers so I gave it some apple slices and some bee pollen but I don't know if it'll eat it. There's only one and I don't have a proper set-up to breed them, so is it okay if my beardie eats the moth...

The tank is 4x2x2 Zen Habits Tank, UVB is ZOO MED ReptiSun 10.0 UVB T5 HO 24-watt, Basking lamp is Zilla Day White Light

UVB is about 6 months old & a long tube fixture. I've tried play sand for her and she never seems interested, she only digs into her hide and blankets. The sand is always a bit chilly though, how do you recommend warming it up for her?
