    Potential Future Prolapse?

About the size of a small Pea (1/4" or ~6mm, slightly larger than the movement itself,) and retracted right up when he went to close. First time I noticed it over the past week. We have been trying to get him to poop in water instead of the tank, so I have been watching his movements to get a...

    Potential Future Prolapse?

I noticed earlier this morning when my Beardie had his bowel movement that there was this little red sack that happened to pop out of his slit. Thought to myself what that could possibly be, then back in it went, then I knew what it was. But I'm at a loss. The movement didn't seem labored, it...

    Tile: glazed vs non-glazed?

Travertine is a marble, a rather porous marble (as I edited above it will act a sponge along the edges unless sealed up). http://www.sarigraphics.com/images/travertine_it.jpg The type I purchased has the porous hole fitted so it doesn't have cavities that would potentially catch a toe/nail and...

    Tile: glazed vs non-glazed?

I used a Natural Travertine. Mind you it is 18" and Lowe's will not cut it on their in-store wet saw due to the fact it won't fit on their wet saw, I had to find another mean to get it cut, but it worked out great. http://goo.gl/cex9z It has rough enough areas on the tile to keep the nails down...

    Dovah Zii - Finally Awake

Thanks for unlocking the thread so I could update. Goes to show how long he was out the the auto-lock to kick in. Little Dovah Zii is finally awake. Noticed him for a couple of days sleeping with this head up so I turned the UVB light back on full duration and he was up before I was up this...

How old is your bearded dragon? revisited

Dovah Zii is roughly a year and two months. He just had his first Brumation, for now he is up and about trying to remember the world he left back in August.

    ReptiSun 5.0 good?

Gosh no, never buy local unless it is life or death. Your Beardie can survive without a UVB bulb for awhile while one ships. If above ~70F outside, under very close guard, 30 minutes under the natural sun = a whole day in the Vivarium with ReptiSun 10.0 or any other top UVB bulb. Never leave...

    ReptiSun 5.0 good?

Pet Mountain.com has been linked several times. I think they are one of the cheapest online, or run sales on them quiet a bit. I usually order mine off of Amazon.com Pet Mountain direct link...

    ReptiSun 5.0 good?

10.0 is required especially for a growing Beardie, stays just as true for 10+ year old Beardie. Replace the bulb every 6-months as well. If you find them cheap, buy two, you'll have a backup.

    ReptiSun 5.0 good?

5.0 won't emit the require UVB, so 10.0 is required.

    Quick Question!

More so to block on light from the outside of a glass tank or to provide security. Background usually for personal eye appeal. In this case the Bearded Dragon is seeing his reflection on the glass from the light emitting from the inside of the tank, as glass acts a mirror when light emitted...

    Quick Question!

That would defeat the purpose of hiding the reflection off the glass if you put it on the outside of the tank...

    Quick Question!

That is alright to do, if it gets wet or soiled replace it. Other than that, Bearded Dragon's feel more secure when they can feel safe in a "Cave" and only worry about what is in front of them/their Viv, so it will be a plus to make your Beardie feel for secure as well as less aggressive...

I can't figure out how to upload images

Something I had typed up for such an occasion: Guide to posting images on BeardedDragon.org forums: Step 1: Finding a Hosting Service You will need to decide on what image hosting service you want to use. There are many out there, but the most popular services are Photobucket, Imgur, and...

    REPTIWORMS STOLE MY MONEY!

Presuming you have contacted them via their [url+http://www.reptiworms.com/info.php?contact]e-mail form[/url] on their website and not a "noreply@" address, and allowed enough time for them to respond (I would personally give 2-3 business days) Also, have called during usual business hours since...
