I don't know about the Black Fly Larvae. Superworms are good, mealworms I would avoid if possible. Drache613 can better explain why mealworms aren't really good for our beardies.

12 years ago today, my oldest brought home this beauty, and named him Elmer. Elmer has such a great personality and can make us laugh at times. Happy 12th Birthday Elmer!!!

Also, not sure why I am listed as a NEW MEMBER--probably because I haven't posted in a very long time.

This is my daughter's lizard, Elmer, who is kind of ours now since she is in California. He is almost 12 years (yes you read that correctly) old! He will be 12 on March 28th!! I just weighed him, and he was 14 oz (400g) and is a happy boy most of the time. I credit @Drache613 with helping us...

Elmer is doing great! His eye seemed to have cleared up--we think it was some shed that may have been stuck in there again. We forgot to celebrate his 11th (yes eleventh!!) birthday on March 28th. I think we will do it when Brit comes home next week.
