    compact uvb?

Yes um! Unfortunately owning a beardie is expensive. But if you want him to thrive you gotta give them what they need. :D You can find a standard floresent fixture at home depot, they tend to cost less. It doesnt have to be a reptile fixture. Also, check around on the web for your repta...

    Heat/light/log placement question

Oh! I also wanted to add that I have used the Solor glo bulb for many years. You certainly dont want to use it in less than a 40 gallon tank if thats what you have, but it has been hit an miss for me with this bulb. It works but i wouldn't say that it is the best product out there. I have to...

    Question about heating and lighting.

It depends on what type of UVB you are using. If you are using a floresent tube these dont emit heat and you need a basking bulb. but if you are using a Mercury vapor bulb, these emit heat and UV and you should not need a basking bulb. I have a merc bulb and I use just regular household bulbs...

That sounds really good! yeah sounds like the 75 watt will be a little better. but if you can get him to bask with what you have it is progress! Obviously you dont want to keep it lower than 97 deg for too many days, as he can develop respitory problems..but it sounds like you are getting...
