It has a reflective cover on the top. There is nothing covering the light bulb. I got the set up from a breeder. It's all set up properly.

He's been pooping everyday. Obviously since he hasn't been eating he's been pooping less. We would only give him a couple of superworms at a time and through out the day. He loved them. He's not impacted. Yes there is a plastic that houses the long uvb light. He's def. Getting enough uvb.

I think this covers what you asked me. The lights are fairly new. I bought the new set up end of June. I set calcium in case he wanted to lick it. He likes to do that. And the brown power is from a superworms who burrowed into the bark! Those things are mean strong! Lol
