    Phoenix Worms

I only have 1 beardie about 5 months old now and recently went through the 1000 count of large in about 2 1/2 weeks...I was buying the 400 large but for the price of 1000 (plus shipping), i figured I could feed the rest to the birds outside if I didn't go through all of them. After buying the...

    critter keeper

I've got the large, 4-tube cricket keeper I use to hold 1000 small dubias. I buy them every 2 weeks from a guy on this forum for $25 and haven't been disappointed...I clean the cricket keeper out with a QUAT before reloading.

    Silkworms vs others?

so our beardie just finished up with the silkworms and I'm really not that impressed with them. Compared to hornworms, silkworms are stinky and their poop get's all tangled up with the silk they produce (maybe I got a bad batch?). Oh well, one less feeder to scare the wife with...

    Scratching?

you noted your beardie is over 12 months old, however, you didn't mention if you've had him since a baby or recently received him. Assuming you've had him since a baby, you would have witnessed his shedding behavior many times over by now. If you're 100% sure it's not from shedding, you may...

Cactus Pad/Leaf, Cactus Pear (Prickly Pear)

Yeah, the lack of deserts does impact the cactus pad/leaf/pear population here on the East Coast... Anyone know of a good place to purchase these online? I've been interested in this since seeing it as a good staple on the beardie nutritional website...no one really seems to talk about them or...

    Basking Spot Temperatures

I had similar questions regarding the basking spot temps when I first started... I initially purchased the small, Zoomed temp gun which works fine but i typically only use for spot temp checks now. I ended up getting 2 digital thermostats and put one on the cool side and the other one right ON...

    Phoenix Worms, Baby Beardie

I've only bought them straight from the phoenixworm.com website and haven't had a problem with an order yet. Probably one of the easiest feeders to store and feed in my opinion (just keep them in the cup with the lid on and you're good for several weeks). To be honest, 400 phoenix worms (will...

when will my bearded dragon start eating veg

My 4+ month old beardie loves shredded endive leaves...she doesn't seem to like anything else. I also find that if I skip a meal from her (sometimes working late or leaving early), she'll eat most of her greens! Her poops tend to stink more the next day, though... All other vegetables I've...

    Phoenix Worms, Baby Beardie

phoenix worms are great. small dubias are awesome as well! my beardie has grown dramatically since we got her as a baby around Christmas...she's well over 12" now and got a fat, little belly eating both as a staple. I've gotten her hornworms and have eaten ones which I would have thought to be...

    Silkworms vs others?

I feed my beardie phoenix worms and dubia as staples. I I don't dust the phoenix worms but do for the dubia. I'm currently feeding her hornworms that I'm growing from eggs in a habitat cup. I also got a 25 small count and they were monsters.! I My beardie can eat very large hormworms with no...

Looking for a Thermostat/Controller for my CHE

Get a Herpstat 2 to do CHE temp control and use the other input to dim the basking light... That's how I have it setup and it's working great. I tried a number of other setup options using the Herpstat 2 and ended back up with my current profile.

    Hi

I've been reading posts for almost 2 months now and love the community atmosphere here...I wanted to introduce Liz, our family bearded dragon...Santa brought it for Christmas to my 5-year old son (fully understanding and accepting that I would be taking care of the "family pet" per my wife)...
