    roaches escaping

Im in the same boat. I just started my roach coach actually :) Mine are in a tote in my room (on my side of the bed at the hubby's demand LOL) they're is no odor at all. When your cleaning the bin, watch for any that grab onto you like hitchhikers.

    Dome lamp ringing noise!

You are absolutely right on that one. When he goes lights out tonight im going to see if maybe the bulb is loose and its a vibration of sorts. The fixture is less than a year old but oh well :)

    Dome lamp ringing noise!

Off the top of my head im not sure, but i do know that its rated for my fixture. It may be the fixture itself. It started doing it again, i gave it a quick tap and it stopped. I may just replace the fixture.

    Dome lamp ringing noise!

Hey Guys! Does anyone else have a dome lamp that throws off a high pitched ringing sound? One of mine started doing it last night. Im thinking it may have something to do with the dimmer switch thats it was plugged into. I removed the dimmer and it seems to have stopped. My ears are super...

    Black scale patch

He does tend to get dark. He just got out of the tub a few minutes prior. I'm going to wait until he lightens up and check it out again. Its just odd that its a patch like that. It was more predominant when he was in the tub. We'll see. Thanks for the quick reply.

Hey Guys! This morning while giving Pog his scrubbing I noticed a small black patch on his left foreleg It looks like it could poss be retained shed, but he hasn't had a shed in awhile now. I used his tooth brush w/ a dab of baby wash and gave it a light scrub thinking that maybe it was a...

    DIY Basking Platforms

I went to a local hardscape shop and bought flagstone. No rough edges and it doesnt chip the way slate tends to. The thing is rather heavy and its on top of tile but there is no issue w/ the weight on the glass. I'll post a pic of it tomorrow.

Beardie being extremely weak and has not eaten.

Hi Jena! I agree w/ Brandon :) Lighting and Temps are always the most frustrating/aggrivating part of being owned by a Beardie IMO ;) Its a neccesary evil though. How is your dragons skin? is it wrinkly at all? Up-ing his bathes is a good idea. Try adding some flavorless/colorless pedialyte...

    bleeding or burn??

That def looks like a burn to me. Do your Beardie a favor and ditch the tank heater. Dragons cant feel the heat if it isnt above them. Are you sure your vet is a Reptile vet and not just a vet that treats exotics? If your worried about extra heat, your best bet is a CHE (Ceramic Heat Emitter) or...

    Runny pooo

Lets start w/ this. What are you feeding your Beardie? Certain feed can cause runny poop but yes it can also be the sign of parasites.

    At home testing?

Hey Guys and Gals! Im just trying to collect some opinions regarding at home fecal testing. My local reptile vet charges $57 per sample, which is collected then sent to an outside lab. Ofcourse if any of my dragons had an issue, I wouldnt hesitate to bring them to the vet, so please dont get me...

    travling with beardies

We have a seasonal camp site. This is what I do. For outside, keep an eye out (or build) a hutch. Like a rabbit hutch. On the bottom you can line the wire w/ indoor/outdoor carpet or slate tile (thats what I did) When Im at the CG I keep in on the deck. It stands about waist high and the mesh is...
