but when a female starts laying eggs (without being introduced to a male ever) can I put a male in with her now? Mine only laid ONE egg so far, an infertile one. While she's done this (just overnight it appears) is it a good time to introduce a male ?

My question is she is in a 40 breeder, a big girl, what kind of lay box is ideal? Also could I just pour the coco substrate (not dampened though) throughout the entire tank as she lays them?

Not as in euthanise either. I mean, and this is likely a silly question but my beardeds allow me to pick them up at will. The thing they wiggle and squirm with is when I go to sit them down...so is there a certain way to sit them down properly?
