    PELLETS!?

Just a heads up. I read that cat food is formulated with ingredients meant for cats urinary tract health that increases calcium excretion  . It is better to use dog food instead. This info is from "The Bearded Dragon Manual", last paragraph on page 63.

Squash...to cook or not to cook

I bought a food chopper from Walmart for $9. I put a few chunks of different types of veggies and get a nice mixed-up salad as fine as I want it with no need to cook to soften up. Another idea. Works well for me. :) Here's is the link to the one they advertise on tv...

Does my Bearded Dragon look Fat? :P (Pics Inside)

Mine looks like that too when he's done eating. He eats an average of 48 med. phoenix worms + crickets a day (yes, I tally up what he eats lol ) and he also eats some salad in the morning and a few treats during the day. Sooo, I think they are supposed to have the buddha belly thing going on! I...

    2nd day not eating

Thanks for clarifying about the light and the feeding vickson :). Good thing you did. Yes, please, do not force feed. My beardie doesn't like the feeling of a drop of something sitting on his nose (water or food) so he attempts to get it out by licking at it and boom, there it goes. So as long...

    2nd day not eating

You're welcome :) , just make sure your beardie gets hydrated (very important) and try to feed him some baby food every day. Keep offering a salad at all times during the day even if he doesn't eat it. He'll eat whenever he's done stressing :P

    2nd day not eating

Hi, I just went through the same thing and finally my baby is eating. When he came home, he ate well for about two days then he stopped eating. He did this for about two weeks. Then, he started to eat a bit here and there. A couple crickets in the morning, one for lunch and nothing in the...

    first eye bulging

 My baby also did this for the first time a few days ago. At first, I almost freaked out and then I realized I had read about it here as well. He did it again later same day and since he's been scratching his face against stuff in his viv. Incredible. You imagine if we could go around...

    Weird discoloration

Hi ajo Yes, I bathe my baby daily since he is finicky about drinking water. I do believe it is just what you described. I read many times that shedding turns the scales into a milky shade but I never expected it to be so dramatic. He seems to be very healthy so I'm not worried anymore. :blob5...

    Weird discoloration

Thanks for your replies all... My beardie just started scratching and bulging his eyes today so it must be an impending shed. I didn't think another would start so soon after last but it must be that or the last one didn't complete properly and hence the leftover fuzziness in the head and tail...

Help Please, Shed problem? with pics

Hey :) Apparently my beardie is fine. He (she?) is eating and pooping :P and even eating salad all by himself. He's a bit lazy but I attribute that to relocation stress leftovers. He's getting better everyday. I believe now it's what I was told here before, he might just have had a funky...

    Weird discoloration

   OMG well, I see there was a lot of action while I was not looking! Some clarification. Someone needs to look closely at the picture and the description. I am, and have been very well aware of the third eye. But thanks for pointing that out Stan. It's good too...

Help Please, Shed problem? with pics

I thought my beardie had something similar but I guess not. His won't come off with baths and gentle brushing, but I'm pretty sure is shedding related. Still hoping someone has an idea on what's making my beardie's head and tail look different. I am very glad you figured this out and it wasn't...
