    Online crickets?

I know this is an older post, but wanted to say that breeding a Dubia roach colony is extremely easy. I live in an apartment and have a colony of right around 500 and growing. Just pick up an 18 gallon Sterilite bin from a store, cut a medium sized square in the top (mine is 10" x 10" roughly)...

    Head tilt/spinning! Help!

Sorry to hear you're still having problems with your little guy. It sounds like your temps are right, your lighting setup is good, and you're feeding him consistently. Maybe he's just messing with you :P Seriously though, I would have him checked out by a reptile vet to rule out neurological...

    Head tilt/spinning! Help!

I made the same mistake, buying a kit like that. I had to buy almost everything over again :banghead: But yes the 5.0 are good for certain types of reptiles but beardies need at least 8.0 UVB, so even optimally the 5.0 is still too weak. You'll need the 10.0 8-12" from the top of where your...

    Head tilt/spinning! Help!

I'd suggest getting him to a qualified reptile vet to be sure, but head thrashing can sometimes happen with calcium deficiency. That reptisun 5.0 is useless for a bearded dragon, worse than useless if it's a coiled bulb. Since most of their calcium absorption/etc happens with proper UVB light...

Hiding in his cave, digging more than usual

I'm no expert on dragons tearing up substrate, but it sounds like your temps are good. The first thing I would suggest is to get a bigger tank. According to my vet, adults over 12" need at least a 40G breeder tank.

    Siting Alot

How long have you had him? If your husbandry is correct I wouldn't worry all that much. However, if your setup isn't up to par, lethargic behavior can indicate that you need to tweak some things (lighting, temps, feeding times/amounts, etc).

    Atadenovirus/Adenovirus?

Thank you for the tip, it worked like a charm! All of her results (including atadenovirus) came back sparkly clean, so she's happy and healthy :blob5: Oh, and her name is Izzy. Izzy The Citrus Monster if you want to get proper, mostly because she is eating about 100 crickets a day!! Thank the...

    Atadenovirus/Adenovirus?

Hey guys, just wanted to drop in an update. We did end up purchasing a 3 month juvenile citrus beardie a few days after my last post, and she is thankfully doing great :blob5: - a HUGE change over the problems we've had with baby beardies. Her appetite seems to increase as the days go by - she...

    Atadenovirus/Adenovirus?

Unfortunately, the little guy passed away on Friday, 01 June. He had a pretty wicked seizure while I was giving him a bath and subsequently passed a few moments after I lifted him out of the water. I wasn't holding out much hope as his condition continued to deteriorate, but I was glad he didn't...

    Atadenovirus/Adenovirus?

I was actually able to talk to a reptile vet at Dublin Animal Hospital. She was moved by my conversation w/the receptionist, so she gave me a call back! :o I sent her pics of my baby and explained the symptoms, when it all began, etc... she said that she wouldn't be able to tell for certain...

    Atadenovirus/Adenovirus?

Thank you, it's been rough out in the world without income!! There is a local vet here in town (Dublin Animal Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO) with a few docs having 8+ years of exotic reptile experience on staff. I used them when I had birds/rabbits/etc and they were wonderful, so I'm going to...

    Worms?

Oh good, glad to hear you're going to get Chopstick checked out. Would you mind posting the results when time allows? Can't ever get enough (good) info ya know :)

    not eating, watery poop

I can't say if this is a 100% accurate statement or not, but thought I'd pass it along... I've read in several forums that unless you've been directed to do so by a vet, and been given instructions by him/her on how to do it, that it is not a good idea to "force feed" dragons because they may...
