I wouldn't. He has thrived well in his for quite a while. He chose this one as the acceptable one out of sand, carpet and wood (different types). Noted by his behavior change- no glass surfing, better sleeping, and eating. He is hand fed or eats out of a bowl that is out of reach from the wood...
