Can I use Waxworms for my beardies dinner???

Waxworms should only be used as a treat.. If you're out of food then a few would be okay to hold him over but don't make it a habit. They're very fattening and can cause Beardies to be stubborn with other live foods.

Bad breeder experience. Looking for insight

Is that the only pic they provided? It's very unprofessional to only show "part" of the dragon. Dragons do change with shed I know this first hand. They also look more dull whenever they're about to shed. However, the head of the dragons leads me to believe they are different. I'd still put this...

    How Old and How Long?

Hey Guys! It's been awhile! Sorry I've neglected you :( As my girl is growing I'm just curious as to how old your dragon(s) are and what length they are? The last time I measured Daenerys she was 17.5" She's only 8 1/2 months old so I imagine she's still got a little bit more to grow. She's...

    Daenerys! (Pic Heavy)

It's been awhile! I've neglected you guys for a little while :( Daenerys is now a little over 8 months old! Here are some recent pics of my baby girl. Remember how little she was on this castle? Here she is now :P Finally upgrading her to her permanent tank, built the basking spot...

Where do you get your beardies from?

I got my Iguana from a small pet store from a mall almost 10 years ago. All my other reptiles I got from breeders. I considered Petco for a beardie however when I looked at the condition they were in I knew that was only going to be a nightmare. Plus my friend bought two from petco and both...

New Gargoyle Gecko Name Help and Question

I had a gargoyle gecko and never had any problems with aggression. Their care is pretty much the same besides their diet, they need more insects in their diet. It's best to offer gut loaded crickets at least one night during the week. Along with the puréed diet 3 times a week. I imagine he's...

    Great end to a tragedy!

http://metro.co.uk/2013/09/14/firefighters-save-bearded-dragon-lizards-life-with-oxygen-mask-designed-for-humans-3995087/ Think this is one of our biggest fears! If the unthinkable happens I'd hope the firefighters would show my reptiles as much care as well!

Do you cut your beardie's nails?

Everyone seems to have it covered. One thing I wanted to add even though it's a no brainer and you prob already do it, but just incase! Make sure you use peroxide and clean the scratches. Reptiles are known to carry salmonella, granted it's not a high chance, a fresh wound from your dragon who...

    Sudden change in behavior

Hmm that's definitely bizarre.. Wearing any new body spray or anything she might not like? Suppose you can give her some space today, she may have a tummy ache or something and doesn't want bothered... Can always try the approach we do with younger Beardies and put a worn t-shirt in her tank so...

    How should I start?

Hello there! I understand you're hesitant now but I promise once you interact with your dragon for the first time you'll fall in love! That will only grow as they grow :) I'm going to use some of the info I've given others in the past although it definitely seems like you already know most of...

    Gaps under eyes?

Hello! She's actually gotten better :) I think she was a tad dehydrated from shedding or the shedding caused it, regardless the extra baths helped :) thanks!

    Gaps under eyes?

Alrighty! Oh yeah she's a little piggy in terms of her bugs. She eats her salad too so that's definitely a blessing as I see so many with issues on that.

    Gaps under eyes?

Thanks for the response Tracie. We give her greens daily and she gets a bath about every other day. It's not something that is hindering her as she's very active and eats very well, I just wasn't sure if I should be concerned. If there's possibility of dehydration I will be sure to bathe her more.
