My colony started as 30 adult females, 15 adult males, 600 mixed sizes.

I looked up dermestid beetles and that's exactly what they are. So I have to figure out what else is going on. I'll be feeding crickets for a while.

I use 1/8" for the fraz, 1/4" for smalls, 3/8" for medium and 1/2 for large. Everything else is breeders.

If you shape the foam, then cover it with grout you can purchase non toxic sealers online. Just Google "no toxic grout sealer"

Mortar, grout and self leveling compound are pretty similar items to use. You would want it to have a little less moisture when you mix it though. I would try a paste like consistency. And remember to use several layers. When your done though, you will need to use a non toxic sealer to avoid...

The foam I have seen most commonly used is like the stuff that electronics are packed in. Or even a foam cooler. I myself am using the foam from a television box. If you type reptile fake rock wall in YouTube you get a few decent videos of how to do it. One note if you use grout as a covering it...

Piano hinges at a hardware store will be your best friend if you are looking for non sliding glass doors. I myself prefer sliding as it keeps visibility high and they are easy to remove. Like as said before though, make sure you have a good way of securing the doors.

What they are referring to is that the t5 bulb is basically the type/shape of the bulb. Which the reptisun t5 hood comes with a 5.0 bulb. For optimal uvb you want to use a size type t5 bulb that is reptisun 10.0 because it puts out more uvb for beardies. Putting it on top of the screen is ok at...

So I read on here that sand is a no go for babies because of impaction issues. My fiona is getting into this stage where she likes to try and dig and burrow. When is it ok to change from a mat substrate to sand?
