    LARGE Gaping Mouth

Thanks for the info! Being new with all this, I think I might make a weekly schedule with their bathing, feeding, cleaning, vitamin needs in order to keep it all together. Have you or anyone else ever tried this?

    LARGE Gaping Mouth

Thanks so much for the reply! I actually gave her and her sister a bath yesterday for the first time since becoming their adoptive mom. Basically I filled up the tub a bit and gently massaged water onto their skin. Is this proper technique, or should I be washing with a certain solution or...

    LARGE Gaping Mouth

Hi there! Currently my beardie, Taz, is laying on her rock bridge in the sunning area, gaping her mouth WIDE open. I can see part of her tongue sticking out. Sometimes she smacks her lips. I have never seen her mouth open so wide and it is worrying me. She just ate a bunch of grasshoppers about...

    Beardie Poop?

So, weird question, but what is "healthy" BD poop supposed to look like? The reason I am asking, is because I saw one of my BD girls poop today and most of it was brown, but there was some white poop in it too. Is this possibly apple that was not digested, or could it be cricket carcass? I have...

Is Bearded Dragon Cohabitation A Good Plan?

I just read this post and now I'm really freaking out. I recently adopted 2 female beardies, approximately between 4-6 years old. They have been living together for several years now in the same enclosure. Today I have witnessed my one beardie, Sam, nip at my other one, Taz, and now I'm really...

    Must Feed Bugs?

Thanks so much!! I went to Pet Paradise earlier today and got some crickets and they absolutely loved them and ate them fast. Unfortunately they were out of the cricket keepers, so I'll be going to Petsmart sometime soon to grab one and some more crickets. I think I'm going to figure out a...

    Changing Substrate?

I live in London, ON. I've found that Pet Paradise is REALLY helpful and knows their stuff. I went there today and I finally get some crickets to give them. They love them!! I was able to get some really great items, they ran out of their cricket keepers, so I'll be grabbing one at Petsmart. I...

    Must Feed Bugs?

Thanks! I've read that you need to "gut load" the crickets as well, by feeding them. If I purchase them from a store, should I be feeding them at home, or will they live long enough to be given to my BDs to eat? Also, how do you get them in the habitat without them jumping all over the place?

    Must Feed Bugs?

I'm not too sure of their ages. I was told that they are approximately between 4-6 years old. Lately they've been eating mostly apples and greens, but I want to make sure they're healthy and live long, wonderful lives. If bugs are needed for them how often should they be fed bugs?

    Must Feed Bugs?

Hi there! As a new beardie adoptive mama of 2 sweet BDs, I am just wondering about what type of feeding schedule I should have them on. They were previously owned by friends of mine who have been unable to take care of them due to the birth in their family. I know that the ladies have been fed...

    Lighting Help for Newbies (:

Thanks so much for this post!! It definitely helps, especially with the photos of the habitat!! Starting out with BDs can be a bit difficult, because there are so many things to take into consideration to ensure their health, safety and happiness. Right now I'm at the point of figuring out what...
