yes I know it's hot but is the surface if I lift the prob up it reads the air temp of 100 its already 10inches away if I raise the light the heat in the tank will drop it's at 85 now I'm thinking the decor material is heated up cause of what it is made of ? very confusing
Also was doesn't make sense as I held the probe off the decor Surface and the temperature went down to under 100 about 98 maybe it is the material that it is made off
thanks for the info I used the probe the surface is 135 right under the heat side of the double dome it is a 50watt repti backing spot lamp at 9 to 10inches away also I have a picture of my setup but I'm new I do not know how to add it to my reply
Hello I have a baby bearded dragon I have a double mini dome light with a 50 watt heat bulb on one side and a UVB bulb on the other the temperature in the tank reads fine but when I point the thermo gun at the top of his basking spot it reads 135 degrees any suggestions on how to get to surface...
