    Not eating or pooping

Also for your reading enjoyment, see bulb position has been adjusted. I am FULLY aware of UVB bulb strength, filtration/dispersion rates, and locations.

    Not eating or pooping

With all due respects, Kerri, if you actually READ what the bulb, distance, and enclosure type are (I took the liberty of quoting the set-up post for you, so that you won't have to go back). This set-up HAS NOT been an issue with her for her life up to this point. And to re-iterate, the bulb...

    Not eating or pooping

She is 10 months old, never been gravid, and has always been active/alert. The 'mouth open' is a bit disturbing, even though I have seen that behavior in my previous dragons. I don't remember my other girls completely stopping eating when they went from adolescent to adult; they did slow, Her...

    Not eating or pooping

Ok, so here is what I see (I am her dad): Her basking rock is less than 6" from the new (less than a month old) T8 18" Repti-Sun 10.0 bulb in a non-lensed, reflected housing, shooting through the open mesh screen lid. Temps are measured by a handheld IR temp gauge (same one I use to check my...

Recommended to put my buddy down

Dan, She isn't showing any deep discoloration in her beard, or avoiding being touched? I read where you said her beard was darkening, but not black. That is why I say she is likely in pain. I hope I am incorrect. If she is still active and respondent, then I would say she has some time left...

Recommended to put my buddy down

At 8.5 years old, she has lived a good long life. To be honest; even though it's going to HURT, do the humane thing and put her to sleep (she is in pain and suffering right now). The only thing you can do is be there when she transitions from this life to the next.

Found in bush in Cali / Not growing after 32 days?

Your new little one looks to be a Leatherback. Often times, a traumatic experience will stunt their growth, or postpone growth as they try to recover from the stresses and shock. In the first pic, the dragon looks to be in less than stellar health (a bit on the un-nourished side). just getting...

    Baby beardie needs help!!!!

As Kerrie stated, STAY AWAY from that UVB style bulb! They are downright dangerous to a Bearded Dragons health. As Kerrie states, a good 18"/T8 Repti-Sun 10.0 tube will be good, or one of the HO T5 set-ups.

    Baby beardie needs help!!!!

I'm going to be right out front and open here: 1) The so-called Pet Store that sold you these two should likely be investigated at a minimum. Terrible condition of animals, poor advice (I know, that problem is pet-store establishment-wide), and bottom-line pushed poor animals to death. That...

    Baby beardie needs help!!!!

Don't take this the wrong way, but: You spent time and energy, asked for and received advice and help, saw some improvement, but decided to send the remaining baby back to certain death anyway, all because of a return (money-back) policy the store wouldn't honor anyway? At that point, with...

The Most You've Paid For a Bearded Dragon Poll - Discussion

When I got Cooper back in 2011, she came from a box pet store and was somewhere in the neighborhood of $50. Smaug was a $100 investment but he was already on his 3rd owner when I became his 4th. Marline was a Petco purchase, 6 weeks ago and I believe she tipped the scales at right shy of $100...

    New beardie owner

As of a week ago, she was 13 weeks old (rough estimate): She was 13.5" long, 8.5" of that is TAIL!! She weighed 62G. She has plenty of energy, eats her morning salad (with a mix of 50 BSFL/Waxworms/Mealworms) and will consume close to 100 (sometimes more) worms a day. Very happy to bask, run...

    HE'S EATING GREENS!

Our little girl will eat her salad at first meal (breakfast). Her mom finely dices Kale, Mustard and Collard Greens, and blueberries into her food bowl. On top of that, she gets a mix of (mostly) BSFL, Waxworms, and the occasional Mealworms. Calcium and vitamins are sprinkled/dusted at about...

Oh boy new baby new problems . Won’t eat

We're starting to veer off-topic a bit; but since water is quite often ingested when misting our dragons: I use bottled water, poured into the misting bottle, with the nozzle down tight to its finest pattern. I leave the bottle next to her terrarium, so the water is at room temperature or a bit...

Oh boy new baby new problems . Won’t eat

Our Marline is also in shed; her head (finally) started to split/shed, with her back showing signs of also giving up the old skin! We mist her every day, sometimes twice a day, to keep her skin pliable and more easy to shed. She eats a lot, and I would imagine yours would as well.
