What other feeders can I feed a 7 month old beardie?

Roaches shed exoskeletons as they grow. The white ones have just shed.

    Odd Cough

First Guess is respiratory infection due to high humidity in the viv. What are your temps and humidity in the tank? Also are you misting him? What are you feeding and how often? What is his setup like? any waterfalls? What lighting do you use? Brands are labeled on the base of the bulb. Is he...

    Numerous Problems with Premium Crickets

I have also been happy with premium crickets, I don't use them any more (found a closer cheaper supplier). Big die off can happen if your order has to travel a long distance to get to you. Also many companies will hold your shipment if they feel the weather could cause deaths at the sending...

What would happen if you just fed your dragon prepared food?

The little information I have found is in dragons that end up being smaller "and probably not as healthy" as dragons that get a proper diet and supplements. I know many people that buy packaged food end up using it to feed crickets or roaches.

New Owner With A Few Worries!

Unfortunately the shop you deal with has little to no understanding of reptiles. First crickets come in many sizes and can be fed to ANY dragon if sized properly ie. no bigger than the space between his eyes. The thermometer that you have is also near useless and at best is within 20 degrees...

    UVB florescent

If using a fluorescent tube you want the reptiSUN 10.0 mentioned above or Arcadia bulb if in Europe. The beardei must get within 6-8inches of this type of bulb to get any benefit from it. If he has not been able to get this close in the past you will want to consider the MVB option to treat...

    Help!!!

If you are using a Mercury vapor type bulb that provides both UVB and UVA you don't need the desert sun UVB. Also with the MVB type lights you need to use a calcium supplement that has no added vitamin D3 (you didn't mention calcium supplements). The desert sun UVB is on the questionable list...

    Help His Tail Fell Off

Housing them together = bad news. [ Invalid URL Removed / p= t=34977 f=1 ] Im also gonna take a shot in the dark and assume you haven't looked into the differences in UVB lights. This should get you started. viewtopic.php?p=817185 viewtopic.php?p=707674 This is also a good read for any...

Bearded dragon attacked by slightly bigger bearded dragon

That depends on the injury. Uploading some pictures would help. Is he bleeding? Does he have a separate enclosure with proper lighting ect? were the other dragons also separated? If not you need to separate them ASAP. Bearded dragons are solitary reptiles ie. they don't live together and...

    local breeders?

Take a look at tophat crickets. $24 for 1000 crickets and they are based in Michigan. That price includes shipping to nearby states (like Ohio). the link to crickets online is for online sales and they are better quality than I have found in pet stores.

I Need A Colony of SOMETHING....

I have found a couple places you should look into for feeders. First is http://www.tophatcrickets.com/thordcrx.htm then use the crickets online to place an order they have a link. "Our prices include free ground shipping to: Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Pennsylvania...

I Need A Colony of SOMETHING....

I was actually commenting on how difficult it will be to find an easy feeder (because you ruled the main ones out ie. crickets and all roaches) you should know that waxies are not a good staple feeder viewtopic.php?p=820192 they are treats. Supers would be ok to get started but 15-16in is...

I don't know exactly how to diagnose this.

Your bulb is also too far away to do any good. Should be closer to 6-8 from his basking area. and if its not a repti sun 10.0 or an arcadia then its probably not a good fluorescent.

I Need A Colony of SOMETHING....

I hate to break it to you but you have ruled out all of the common colony feeders with crickets and roaches. Supers are popular but he is on the small side for those. I would say give silkies a try. It will be harder but you are working with limited options.
