great setup. I have started mine, the worms have turned to beetles but my question is; How long after they turn to beetle do they mate and lay eggs? What do the eggs look like and do I have to do anything special with them?

I have found that crickets really enjoy dog biscuits and chew them down to crumbs. They also easier to handle with no mess when it's clean up time. My dubia's eat everything but really enjoy human cereal and greens the most.

We use wheat bran, clumps like kitty litter. scoops, edible(no impaction), last for a month if scooped daily and the little amount replaced and only costs about $2.50 per 33 gallon (about 2 inches deep)
