    Does she have eggs?

My bearded dragon is a little over 2 years old, and I was wondering if she might be carrying eggs? She is extremely active, way more than normal. She is tearing her cage apart, and scratching at the glass. All of her lighting is correct, and she is healthy. I opened her cage to feed her and she...

    Thoughts on lighting?

Just wanted someones opinion on whether I should get this light or not. I currently have a Reptisun 10.0 t5 HO, but I've heard this is better? Thanks:) http://www.reptilebasics.com/arcadia-desert-12-uvb/arcadia-d3-12-uvb-t5-bulb-22/

    Laybox material?

Hi everyone! Just curious if I can use eco-earth instead of playsand for a laybox because my beardie is showing signs of laying [non-fertile eggs]. I have it on hand and it would be super convenient to not have to go to the store and buy sand. Thanks in advance!

Baby bearded dragon not eating much

Hi there! Congratulations on your new beardie! 2 times a day is good, but 3 is much better for a baby. I would recommend feeding him as much as he wants within 10-15 minutes per feeding. I would say he’d eat anywhere between 20-40 depending on what insect, how big they are (they should be no...

How many insects should my beardies eat?

Hi there! In my opinion, dubias are a much better option than crickets. I have a one year old bearded dragon, and She will eat approximately 8 to 10 half-inch roaches per feeding. This is a good, hearty feeding, and I would recommend this to your 10 month old, and probably your 2 Year old as well:)

    Looking for some enclosed advice!

Hi there! Your setup sounds great! I’m always so glad when new beardie parents decide to thoroughly research BEFORE getting their beardie:D. I would try turning on the light and measuring with a temperature gun after a few hours that the light is on (to get the exact temp) and judge from there...

    New and Concerned

Hi there! Congratulations on your new beardie! If he isn’t eating, this shouldn’t be a concern only because he’s new and scared. It’s called relocation stress and he’s still getting used to his surroundings. He’ll eat eventually... probably in a week or so;) He also probably won’t eat a lot of...

    Is my lighting correct? Help!

Hi there, Yes, compact uvb lighting could very well be the cause for this, or some of it. A good uvb is a reptisun t5 HO or Arcadia 12%. These are both tubes. Both of these options can sit on top of your mesh screen giving your bearded dragon an adequate amount of UVB as long as he can get...

What lights do I need on at night and in the day?

Hi there, Leaving a basking light on is bad during the night!! It interrupts their sleep, so I would stop that immediately. What type of UVB are you using? Coil, tube, what brand? 10.0, 5.0? What are you temperatures during the day (hot and cold side) and what is the temperature at both? If the...

    75 gallon setup

Hi there, there's really no problem with having a tall tank as long as they have plenty of floor space to move as well as access to plenty of heat and light :D 20" is not actually that tall to begin with, so as long as they all have access to their lighting I'm sure there shouldn't be a...

    Ready to lay eggs already?

The closest she can get to the uvb is about 6-7 inches using her rope hammock. Should I lower it?

    Ready to lay eggs already?

Well that’s kind of weird, because she’s definetly small for her age (240 grams and a little longer than 16 inches). I use Reptisun 10.0 t5 for uvb and a 75 Watt basking bulb that maintains a basking temp of about 98-104 degrees Fahrenheit, with a temperature gun. She’s also been in a sluggish...
