There’s always been this really dark line on Ziggys beard but recently it’s gotten darker. I noticed it’s only at the “root” of the scales. Is this scale rot or just natural coloring?

They are a five star exotic vet. I’m not sure SPECIFICALLY if she’s a reptile vet but they know all about exotic animals from iguanas to bunnies. She told me to feed him once a day because he was always impacted.
