New Owner - Need guidance please

Hi David, I find Beardies to be very inquisitive and as GoodTruant mentioned just before, beardies will attempt jumps. Be careful, they really aren't limber so they fall flat, like a bellyflop right on their tummies. Personally, I was always concerned about internal damage from falls like that...

I have a few pieces of slate in my viv and I do love it. I'll tell you..where I live, that stuff doesn't come cheap but even the beardie seems to love it. Do you line the whole floor with segments? How do you set it up so that the crix don't hide in between? Here's a shot of my set up. Crickets...

The poster kcarello left a great article up. Much more informative than most one-sided arguments. Makes me think twice about sand anyway.

I definetly agree about the top loader. I had one in the beginning when he was young. Front openers keep us from looking like a predator. He immediately mellowed out when I switched over to the front opening viv.

Tile is great for cleaning but ther's no grip on the tile. I hear that maintaining your beardie solely on hard, slick surfaces like that encourages malformed toe syndrome. (the toes always bent backwards)
