My bearded dragon Selket just passed what looks like bloody pinkish material along with her normal movement! The only vet anywhere near us that takes care of these guys closed early for Veteran's Day! HELP!!! :( :cry: I am sooooo scared and my husband hasn't called me back yet....

I just had to come here and say I LOVE these 2! They're absolutely adorable, and so amazing! Send some arm waves and nuzzles to them for me. These little babies are so precious they just make me go "eeeeee!!!" with happiness at the cuteness! :mrgreen: :blob5: :blob8:

My boy occasionally does this, but he's never gotten his beard stuck. I think it's just another way of thermo-regulating, though. With the beard blackened and puffed out, it's more surface for them to absorb heat. I may be wrong, though. But as long as it's not accompanied by aggressive behavior...

So now that I've got my diagnosis of bronchitis, I wanted to know if my beardies could catch it from me. I know that they can't catch human viruses, but I don't know about bacterial infections. I'm so scared my babies could get sick from me, so any help at all is appreciated. I'm kinda going...

Well, I found out today why I've been so warm: I have a case of bronchitis that was thisclose to turning into pneumonia. So the heat probably didn't help. But now I have my antibiotics, inhaler and everything else, so I should be better soon! My poor babies will have to make do with the rice...

Maybe try putting a warm wet sponge or washcloth on his/her head and dab it a lot to help soak the skin. My husband said he'd done this and it helps. And as was said earlier, the young ones can take a little while to shed completely. Good luck hun!

Sounds good so far, you might want to find a way to lower the temp in the cool end, but other than that, no sand is the only hard and fast rule. Oh, and I love your user name!
