    Beard not eating!! Please help!

Even though the UVB is sitting on the tank lid, I made sure to cut out a rectangular piece of the mesh screen where the bulb is so that there’s absolutely nothing blocking the UVB from getting to him. There also is no plastic cover over the bulb and I want to say there’s a reflector in the light...

    Beard not eating!! Please help!

This is his enclosure, we had to "raise the floor" of the tank so that he could be within 6-8 inches of his UVB since he can't move around very well or use his back legs so no basking platform ): Also, for the UVB it's the Zoo Med T8 Reptisun 10.0 UVB bulb and I have a piece of the tank lid mesh...

    Beard not eating!! Please help!

I’m not sure if it’ll even be possible for me to get a picture of the inside of his mouth then. We haven’t seen him gape while basking in quite awhile, and the basking temperature he has is right around 100 degrees. And I don’t want to risk hurting him by manually opening his mouth. I’m not sure...

    Beard not eating!! Please help!

So, I've posted before on here about my beardie Bean who I rescued and has MBD. He was doing great, had some calcium injections from a vet, is constantly given calcium powder on food, has a 20 gallon tank now since he's grown some and UVB is pretty perfect for him. Recently, however, he isn't...

Update on New Beardie with MBD!

It was very scary but luckily we haven’t had that problem again!! He still can’t stand on all fours, his back legs kinda just get dragged around but he does stand alert on his front two! I’m not sure if his back legs will ever work but even without them he knows how to get around haha! Thank you...

Update on New Beardie with MBD!

Hi! Sorry for the late reply! Bean is doing fantastic, he’s moving around a lot more, well.... more like flopping around but he definitely knows how to move haha. He eats like a horse, we’ve started giving some greens and he eats about 10 crickets a day and honestly I think he could totally eat...

Update on New Beardie with MBD!

Hi guys! I don't know who will all see this since this forum is kind of old, but today Bean gave us a HUGE scare )-: My mom went to turn the lights on in the morning for all my reptiles, and she found bean on his back stuck in between his hide and his water bowl. She said his arms were up...

Update on New Beardie with MBD!

Hi Tracie! Isn’t he the cutest?? Hahaha, but yes he usually eats a good amount! Anywhere from 3-6 dubia roaches and I try to feed him twice a day.

Update on New Beardie with MBD!

Hi there! He's actually doing pretty great!! I took him to the vet on Saturday and he got his last calcium injection, I asked for liquid calcium like you said and she was worried about giving it to me because since he's so tiny, the dosage wouldn't be a drop it would be like... PART of a drop...
