Any cork bark she uses I can hand wash for spot cleaning and I sterilize it in the oven. 200°F for an hour to get any microbes.
Other than being porous I'm not sure why cork bad would be bad. Needs to be cleaned thoroughly as needed and during deep cleans of the enclosure. When it's cleaned, from my research, it's good to use. There are other options if you didn't like the cork bark for wood of course
I just want your beardie to be safe. I can't recall if it was a matter of being toxic -
if you researched it, you are all set. It was more of that then the sterilization. We all want the best for all beardies.
