Please get some raw unfiltered honey on it - it looks like the end is dead and you don't want infection starting in - dip the tail in the honey watch for black creeping up the tail -- no crickets in the tank please--

Keep an eye on it for turning black. If it is injured bad enough it could cause tail rot, stay on top of it just in case.
You can dip it in betadine or use raw unpasteurized or Manuka honey on it just in case. If it didn't do any tissue damage and just skinned off a few scales it likely won't cause any problems. But keep an eye on it just in case. ...... don't beat yourself up over it, it happens, i did the same thing to Sweet Pea earlier in the week. (No injury just a really P.O'ed beardie)

Dipped his tail in honey, should I do something about his substrate? It’s calcium sand and I’m worried it might get into his injury. Thanks a lot!

Please replace w/ the textured NON adhesive shelf liner found at Walmart or your local home improvement store- cut to the size of the tank clean w/ vinegar and water 50/50 wipe down w/ a wet dish rag/ towel

The calcium sand is a bad option, I would recommend replacing it asap. If you want to use sand normal play sand from your local hardware store is the best option. I would use the shelf liner like Karrieree said, tile, or paper towels till its healed.

Hello,

He will be ok. If there is an area that is raw, or where the scales got rubbed off you can use
some antibiotic ointment, or some raw unpasteurized honey on the area to help it heal up.

They will lick it and ingest it more, it's also harder for them to pass through there system. It has a higher risk of impaction.

Hello,

How is the tail looking?
Better choices for substrate would be non adhesive shelf liner, colored felt, textured slate tiles,
or a rubberized mat to line the bottom with. If your dragon loves to dig, you could consider making
a play sand box for digging. The washed & sifted playsand is non calcium based so, if ingested, it
is much easier for them to pass through. The calcium based sands harden when they get wet which
can cause horrible impactions.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
