Not quite sure if I should be worried

I'm just going to be straight to the point, from what I've seen and read this is scale rot, or thr start of it. I just want to know if I'm the only person who thinks this, hoping someone a little more experienced with this could tell.

When it comes to touching it she dosent mind. I've poked and prodded at the cracking scale and its only on her chin, she has no reation to this and let's me mess with it with no sign of pain. Even pinching it lightly has no reaction for her besides the whole 'Don't hold my face' wiggle they do if you hold them wrong. Her appetite is the same per usual, same with her bathroom usage, poop looks normal, and she's quite active. I swear she understands time as she gets to Glass Surfing at the same time every day for about a month (the weird red color with starting to crack chin is a quite recent thing).

Her diet has only changed a little but even that's a stretch as all I have done is layed back on the bugs as she was getting a little build up in the gums (as a vet has recommended. We had her checked up right before we moved last month, said she was perfectly healthy though she stumped them on her gender for a while, and she took the move very well. No stress, just relaxed on a pillow in the sun the whole trip).

If anyone has any idea what it could be or im somehow over reacting to some dried scales I would really appreciate the input and suggestions.

Look like glass surfing abrasions - use some raw filtered honey on it - it will promote healing- the guns you can use some maxi guard on them to clean them up- please post a pic of the vent w/ tail in the air on a flat surface like a kitchen table -

I think it looks more like an abrasion also. Glass surfing or rubbing on decore/substrate (depending on what substrate you use) could be the culprit.

I now have a new issue. One of the scales have come off, or at least is trying to. There's no blood and no swelling but the shed bit looks like it is still very attacked to the scale underneath. The opposite side has the scale shed but it now looks dry ans shrunkin.

Keep putting the honey on it- also she looks female but see if you can raise the tail higher so we can see vent better

• Hello,

Definitely keep putting the honey on the chin scale, to help it heal up. A lot of them tend to get abrasions
from glass surfing & or banging up against the sides of their tanks.
I don't think it is scale rot but do keep an eye on the area to be sure it doesn't get infected.
