Did you get any test results? If so please post so Tracie can read them and chime in here for more recommendations
The only results was from the xray. No impaction, kidney problems or tumors. They didn't do blood work, they want to see if the two meds will clear up the bleeding first.

Just a heads up, antibiotics can and will (in my experience with my own) cause loss of appetite. Every single time I've given them it's happened. Hopefully that will save you some worry if it effects Toothless the same way 🙂
I can't remember if the panacur did that last time, I think it did to Nova a bit. But he's slowed down a great bit on eating anyway. He used to eat like 30 to 50 bugs a day, now I'm lucky if he eats 10 or 15. Even 10 is on a good day.

No tumor, visible kidney issue or sign of impaction. She's going to treat for parasites because those tests can be inaccurate and to lay off some of the harder exoskeleton worms, just to rule out that he isn't chewing food enough and it causing injury on the way out. To me, it looks like he may have smaller teeth than Novas so that may be the issue.

So not necessarily good news but not necessarily bad news. She said give it two weeks and if he's still bleeding, they'll move onto the more expensive/pain in the ass tests. She said it could be adeno/adrenovirus but if it's that, and he's showing symptoms, there isn't much they can do for him.

But she said he was real alert amd healthy looking so she's a little stumped as to why there's so much possible blood and that be the only symptom.
Glad your guy was looking healthy. Very scary for you, I am sure! Praying that it is something simple and easy to treat. So sorry you are going through all this worry right now...the unknown can be terrifying. Big virtual hugs!

Thanks a bunch.💚It's definitely worrisome. I've always cared for and loved my pets dearly but nothing like I care about Toothless. I'd be utterly and irreparably heartbroken. Hopefully the meds clear up whatever he's got going on.

I hope so too! Glad he has you to take care and look after him. Many beardies aren't this fortunate. Well wishes.

He's looking a little under the weather- have you had his poop tested for parasites? If not you might want to call your vet ask if you can drop a fecal off No enemas- go from there sample should be 24 hours

They gave him panacur, she wanted to bomb the possibility of parasite infestation because sometimes those fecal tests are wrong.

But someone in chris' FB group said pinworms are sort of beneficial, if not beneficial, then at least not harmful, to beardies and the panacur is not needed. It's one .25ml once a day for three days, 100mg/ml. What do you think.? Is pinworm good for their gastro tract, as long as it's not an infestation.? Should I not give it to him like the other people said.?

Don't listen to those FB groups - all dragons have parasites it's when the counts get too high that cause problems- w/ correct surface basking temps and uvb help the dragon keep the parasites in check- let's ask Tracie about the meds

I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

i feel so sad reading your about me 😢
Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
