I’m genuinely curious…

What kind of music does everyone like to listen to? I usually put on a podcast while I’m doing reptile related chores, usually episodes from The Andy Show if I can find some on YouTube, but usually I’ll be listening to Black Veil Brides or sometimes a bit of MCR haha

And I might be posting this to find other podcasts… you can only listen to an episode so many times before you know the entire script off by heart!

I don't like podcasts mainly I'll listen to music.
Podcasts are hard to pay attention to
I have a hard time concentrating.

I listen to any specific type of music.
I don't really have a favorite.
I'm listening to; Michelle Branch.
All You Wanted

I also like random music I.E. Dubstep/Chillstep.

I'll listen to music all day to get me to the end of my day.
& Then bedtime.

So many concerts!

I really gotta start saving, Pierce The Veil tickets go on sale in a few days, Green Day might be touring for their next album when it releases and I’m seeing My Chemical Romance in a few weeks!

2023 is turning out to be much better than 2020 so far!

I'm a 13+ year beardie mom, my first 2 would tolerate anything I enjoyed, but they do like to hear you sing. Our new baby is about 3 months now, and really enjoys calming instrumentals. But basically anything we sing to him gets a great reaction. The calming music encouraged good eating and trying new foods which I thought was great! He's really active, when he gets moving too quick and we sing he will sit still and listen and mellow out.

It’s very interesting, how they seem to love music, specifically instrumentals! My dudes seem to have followed after my taste and appear to get excited whenever they hear Andy’s, or my voice!

I’d be interesting to find out what makes them enjoy certain things, though

Well, for me… I’m all over the place. I don’t listen to music a ton, these days. It really depends on my mood. I don’t “select” my music as much as I used to. I just go with the ease of the various service shuffling up stuff I’m looking for.

I might just play alternative music from the 80s (childhood memories for me), or the early 90s alternative or grunge (college memories). Sometimes, I feel like I’m more in the mood for some classic rock (60s-70s). Or maybe some older hard rock/metal (80s stuff). Or… I might play some stuff I grew up hearing from my parents… i.e. Beatles for my mom… or stuff like Ottis Redding, 50s doo-op, 50s rock n’ roll from my dad.

I might play more current hard rock or metal… maybe some Tool (I prefer older Tool, though… didn’t care for the latest concert my wife and I went to).

So, like I said… my interest for music is all over… I choose the music based on what mood I’m in. And almost any music fits some mood.

I don't really listen to music. I know that makes me odd. Music can enhance things such as movies. Left to my own devices I never play music except for the car ride (sometimes). I enjoy most music when it is playing. Instrumental music or when the sounds mimic nature I like best.

The biggest problem I have is I cannot understand sung lyrics. I can enjoy a song better watching the music video with subtitles. Similar thing for podcasts, most people sound alike to me, so when multiple people are talking I cannot hear the difference between voices. I may have some kind of voice blindness or something. People call on the phone at work and start talking and I have to ask who is speaking, which has sometimes pissed people off. I don't hear differences between voices. Most voices are "middle", some are "low", and few are "high" in pitch. But to me, most are "middle", and I have no idea who is talking or singing. Makes hearing duets especially troublesome! Makes talking to people IRL troublesome, unless I've known you at least 5 years and talk regularly with you I don't know your voice, sorry!

Sounds like you are tonedeff.
I'm a mechanic and have been for decades, so my hearing isn't great either, (to many loud air tools, hissing air hoses ect) i can relate to not being able to distinguish voices. Unless I'm looking straight at someone i struggle a lot to understand what they are saying. It sux!!!!!
I have also found over the last few years i listen to music a lot less

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
