Your getting inaccurate surface basking temps w/ the stick on - please get 2 digital probe thermometers those temps should be 105-110 what kind of uvb are you using? Coil? Long tube fixture?

I brought the tank from petsmart its the thrive starter kit View attachment 77969
Ok I recommend you get him into a 40 gallon tank - 10 gallon tanks are wayyyy to small to get accurate basking temps and you have no uvb- this is critical - I am going to help you get your husbandry up to par or your little guy won't stay healthy - I will post what you need later today

So I am going to post 3 UVB's for you one is going to be specifically for a smaller tank - it will be the bulb it comes w/ I want you to use it on the 10 gallon tank for now -- you will need to upgrade the tank to a either a 40 gallon or larger it will need to have a different UVB bulb tho for that -- but at this time he needs UVB as soon as possible --- we recommend 120 gallon tanks for a full size dragon all these fixtures will go right into that size of a tank along w/ the 40 gallon as well - he can stay in a 40 gallon tank till hes about a year old but recommend getting the bigger tank when you can ---
24" Zoo Med comes w/ the 5.0 bulb use it on the 10 gallon tank --
Zoo Med ReptiSun T5 HO High Output Terrarium Hood this bulb will need to be unobstructed and directly above the basking decor 6-8 inches -- you will need to upgrade the bulb to a Reptisun 10.0 T 5 22" when getting the bigger tank
or this UVB this one can be found at Pet Smart you want the 24 watt 12% bulb again this is for a 40 gallon tank - Arcadia Reptile ProT5 UV-B Kit | reptile Light Fixtures | PetSmart
or this one you will need the Reptisun bulb I posted above for this fixture
2 ft or 24" https://hydrobuilder.com/sunblaster-nanotech-t5-ho-fixture-with-6400k-lamp.html
please let me know what you get for the UVB --- I will help you get it placed once I know what your doing for tanks etc---- right now hes going thru relocation stress -- so hes eating is going to be off -- but w/ incorrect surface basking temps and no uvb he will stop eating all together -- please offer water on his nose - we need to get him to start w/ some salads as well ignore the kale info its outdated Nutrition Content
what are you feeding for a staple insect? I recommend you get him some BSFL www.symtonbsf.com - order medium for now they are a small larvae good for salad toppers and a staple feeder - I would get him some dubia roaches as the main staple and feed the BSFL as a compliment www.dubiaroaches.com go by their chart on the website and order insects no bigger than the space between his eyes -- dust them w/ calcium D3 lightly coated 5 x per week ONCE per feeding - vitamins w/ beta carotene 2 x per week ONCE per feeding lightly coated -- here is a bowl for salads and keeping insects in the bowl
https://www.amazon.com/MACGOAL-Rept...uGQB&pd_rd_wg=tLkwE&ref_=pd_gw_ci_mcx_mr_hp_d
so get your surface basking temps up to par and get the UVB -- and the digital probe thermometers --- these are critical for him to adjust and acclimate to his tank and surroundings but we need to get him moved to a bigger tank as soon as possible hes going to be out of that tank in a month or so -- keep me posted please

Thank you so much this was very helpful. I feed him crickets and worms, but he only eat a couple. I have given him a bath a few times since I had him. I ordered the thermometers earlier and I will definitely order the right lightening that he needs. I will upgrade his tank. I brought that tank only cause he was so small and I wanted him to get use to us before I had purchase a big tank, but now since I see that is needed to keep him healthy I will purchase a bigger one. Furthermore, once again thank you this was so helpful and I will keep you posted.

What kind of worms are you feeding? Please no meal worms they are too harsh on babies stomachs - more for older dragons like 6 months and up ----

Your new baby is adorable 😍 he looks healthy. With some small tweaks he will live a great life

I'd go 100% with karrierees advice, get the linear UVB. He will also outgrow that tank very quickly, they grow super fast. You can use it for a short while he's small but a good lifetime upgrade would be something like the 4x2x2 from Zen Habitats Reptile Enclosures - Habitats for Lizards and Snakes | Zen Habitats (I'd have gotten one but they don't ship to Australia so I had to get a custom 4x2x2 for my girl but I promise it's worth it for your sweet baby)

Linear uvb with reflector all the way, as karrieree suggested, and a temp gun. I think you can still use that basking dome but perhaps switch to a strong halogen bulb, I'm not sure if that's a MVB there or not, but just follow karries advice it's failproof on the set-up

As for insects, try ordering Black soldier fly larvae BSF Feeders they are super healthy and they can last for weeks if you keep them in the fridge just above 10C (so like a mini target or kmart fridge for your bugs to slow them down from pupation is what i suggest 😉)

Please update us on your progress and his growth this is a great supportive community ! Welcome !

ahhh!! What a baby!!! What’s their name?

I can also recommend Sun-Glo basking lights because they simulate the power of the sun very well. It’s for the basking light (for Scooter’s 65 Gal tank I got him a 160 Watt and it keeps his basking spot ~ 110°F ). They are a little more expensive though.

Definitely, do what Karrie said.
You can also find feeders at critter-depot
Feed small because he's so small.! Don't feed larger than the space between his eyes.

Repti-sun t5 10.0
Recommended.
& then get him a basking bulb.

And after following everything that was said above, please allow him to get acclimated to his new home. Coming to you then switching enclosures twice...that's a lot (but worth it)- please come back and let us know how your beardie is doing!

Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding
Finally replaced Swordtail's substrate
I miss you so much, Amaris 💔
