I would not recommend the bulb -- the fixture does it have a reflector on it?
It does but we have a uvb sensor and it didn't register so it's no good. What kind of bulb can I get that would fit in this 18" fixture.? His new tank is too tall and he's getting 0 uvb. Is a 10.0 15watt t8 flourecent desert lamp (that's the title of the bulb I found on amazon) okay.?

If you have to buy a bulb or bulb/fixture i would go with an Arcadia desert pro 12%.

That's what we just ended up getting from petsmart, I think. We got this one.

That will work --- the T 8's need to be in the tank and distance 6-8 inches directly over the basking decor -- the T 5 can sit on top of the screen but the screen MUST be a wide hole type -- if its not it needs to go inside the tank 12-15 inches - the distance for a wide hole on top 8-10 inches

Did you buy that exact full kit there? If you plan on using the current fixture, a T5 bulb won't work properly or fit in a T8 fixture. If you bought the whole kit, it comes with a reflector and you can just use that instead.

We bought the whole thing in the image. We don't have a fixture that the bulb would fit in

His basking light is in a dome and sits atop the top of the tank but the lid is small grate. Like, a bread tie can fit in there and that's about it. Could we mount the fixture on the side of the tank, where he sits.? Right there on the left side where the probe is hanging. Could we put it there, maybe near the top.?

No you want it directly above him --- on the side the light is going to be right in his eyes-- so it needs to go inside the tank -- 12-15 inches

Like, mounted to the lid.? He has a decent sized hide and sometimes he sits on it, hangs off the side or is even sitting closer to the glass. Where would be the best place to put it so it's above him the most.? His basking light sits directly over the platform of his hide

Yes above, if it is mounted on the side it will cause eye damage over time

Optimal is next to the basking bulb but if there is not enough room w/ it being burnt / melted then place it as close as you can to that bulb and put a piece of decor directly under it 12-15 inches -- mine do not sit next to the basking bulb so I set up another basking area w/ a basking bulb directly on the screen w/ the UVB in the tank and basking bulb sitting behind it -- so the dragons have two basking areas hot side and middle of the tank -- you dont want it mounted to the lid hang it from the lid/ screen -- w/ 3M Velcro fasteners - fishing line - long plastic zip ties or picture wire hanger-- does your tank have a solid surface or a screen

This is his basking spot. The light in the back is his heat lamp. So once I remove the dome with the uvb, could I mount the new light on the lid in its place.? The tank is 2 feet tall so if it needs to be 8 inches from him, I don't know how to get it closer

It's a screen. This is his basking area, the light on the back is the heat light, the tank is 2 feet tall. Could I move his light closer to the middle of that side and hang the uvb light behind the heat light on the lid.? If that makes sense.

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
