Our tank is 4x2x2 and we have a 100wat basking bulb but it's just not hot enough for Toothless. Our thermometer reads maybe 95 but no matter how long he basks, he's cool--almost cold.

What's a better/higher wattage bulb that will give him that extra 5 to 10 degrees he's used to and benefits from.?

Get a 150 watt - watch temps w/ your digital probe thermometer-

Will 150watt get too hot.?

I saw some people use floodlights but it risks melting the tank lid.??
You can get a Arcadia halogen not flood light- its trial and error w/ basking bulbs - try the 150 see where you get for temps- make sure your using the digital probe placed on the basking spot where he sits for basking and go from there

I just walked into my room and instead of looking at me, Swordtail's eyes darted directly to the ice cream drumstick I'm holding

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.
