Tail Rot? Someone please help!!

Hello everyone!
I got this one 21st of December 2022. Everything looked good when I got him. I´ve been taking great care of him- enclosure- lighting-feeding etc.

I´m really worried about his tail! Can someone confirm to me what this might be?

Looks like shed w/ maybe a nick in it - is the tail black underneath? Keep an eye on it if it starts to turn black that would be infection-- here is some info on tail rot
Causes of tail rot are:
1. Injuries/trauma - caused by falls, or by any other bearded dragon.
2. Malnourished - make sure he has a balanced diet and he gets the nourishment he needs

How to identify tail rot:

1. Dried out - Decaying tail won't be able to retain moisture, check if it's dried out completely.
2. Very thin, brittle - Decaying tail won't be able to process nourishment, causing it to become more thin and brittle.
What to do after finding out it has a tail rot:
1. Go to a vet - very recommended

T Ask yourself these questions:
Was the tail recently injured?
Was a part of the tail open (eg wound/scrape/cut)
Was flesh exposed?
Is the tail constantly dark? or does the darkness ever go away (eg when in the tank, different environments)
If you didn't answer yes to basically all of those questions, it's not tail rot.

First of all, thank you for your reply! And, nope the tail is not black underneath it´s more beige/whitish.. I can post another pic if that´s something that would help.
I did started treating it with Betadine yesterday (just in case). Isn't that something that I should be doing at this point?

I would let the shed come off and then reevaluate it. Tail rot generally starts from some truma or injury, it is literally the flesh dying and rotting.

Thank you for your response! There´s no way he has experienced any trauma since I got him which is roughly over a month ago. We´ve been watching him really carefully. The tip of the tail just seems not as ''alive'' as the rest of his tail. He just shedded his tail like 10 days ago. Is it possible that the tip takes a little longer?

Yes just keep a watch on it - if it starts to turn black then there is infection but it must be black all the way around not just on top -

I will, and thank you. I´m gonna try to get a good photo of the bottom part of his tail tip later today and post it here if you could take a better look. Thanks
