I just got a baby bearded dragon about a week ago. he is around 5 inches long and we think around 7 weeks. I was just curious on how often I should be expecting him to shed? I just noticed today he's been eating just a little less than usual and even though it's probably nothing I realized I have no idea the last time he shed or how often he would. Also on his stomach he still has stress marks but nothing else to make me think he's stressed. He mainly stays in his basking spot but I sometimes walk in on him somewhere else. He has a healthy appetite and doesnt freak out when I move him from his cage to his feeding tub. I can make his enclosure a bit smaller if you guys think it's stress(the enclosure is 4 feet long).

I would cut the size down -- hes pretty young maybe 1/2 the tank - hes gonna need to acclimate to his tank and surroundings and that may take a while as he adjusts to his tank his appetite will increase and the stress marks will fade -- just keep his surface basking temps good and his UVB and things will go like they should - he will shed at his own rate - as long as hes eating good and doing his basking shed will come-

ok thank you. is there like a typical frequency that babies shed or is each of them a little different? also I noticed on his tail that he has white/pale bands starting near the base and they continue down and im not sure if i should worry about it or not? I can post a picture if you want to see but it might be normal i'm not sure.

Hello,

Do you have any pictures you could post just so we could see your dragon?
He is definitely tiny! As suggested, try making his tank a little smaller, just by partitioning it if
you can. They can get a little disoriented if they are in too large of surroundings.
As youngsters, they shed pretty often, but it depends on how much they eat, etc. Usually, they shed
monthly or every other month for awhile. They grow so rapidly at that age.

Would you recommend soaking him or just misting? I've tried soaking him once and he didn't really like it so I don't want to stress him out. I mist him multiple times a day to keep his humidity up and hydrate him.
What is the humidity and are you using a analog hygrometer-- misting him is good

Ok so the probe needs to go on the center back wall of your tank for humidity readings- move it there and see what it reads
its reading at 35 in the middle but the warm side was down to 25 which is where he spends the most time so i went ahead and put my humidifier on high

Update

He is definitely shedding on his face. I cut the tank size by half but I believe he still had stress marks. I've attached a pic below just to make sure that they are marks and not a normal baby belly. His stomach looks extra large because he just ate. You guys have already helped me with temps and humidity and the only thing that's off is that his warm side is in the 80s instead of 90s and he has a t8 instead of a t5. Could his shed be causing these marks?

What is a quick way to warm up a cold beardie? His heating element went out overnight and now he's very cold.

Clapton is acclimating okay I think. He's quick as lightning so I'm not sure how much I should bring him out of his house yet. He's not at all interested in his salad though. I wonder if I should change what I'm giving him. Least he's eating his crickets.

Things to do:
Buy calcium powder
Material to raise surface for basking spot
Scenery decals for back of tank
